Nice Sketch... I have seen better and I have seen a ton worse. Over all good sketch. Could be a little longer and thicker on top, but hey, this is what practice is for.. nice job..

Very nice skecth, The inner mouth is the only weak part of the xeno. The shading is excellent everywhere but the head, flesh it out a little and it will really jump of the page!

Ah excellent Xeno! I love Giger, so inspiring! Great job on this, your shading is incredible! You should definitely finish it if it's unfinished, I would love to see it complete.

I indeed like it (as much as you say it's horrible). Especially the backbone. The only advice I could give, since you're asking for it, is maybe to research a little more into the mouth of the xeno that Geiger drew (yeah, I love him too ^.^). That would help with drawing it. Great sketch, I hope it's a study for something hardcore ^_^
