part of a portfolio of Hobbit concept art done back in 2006.A few of the bourgeois of Laketown, Their clothes are mostly medeival german and scandinavian in inspiration.

I must say that these fine burghers look as if they'd do good business in the magnificently dissolute version of Laketown seen in 'The Desolation of Smaug' but look much too wise to settle in such a spy-and-sneak ridden shanty!
