Currently, I live in California, but I grew up in Idaho and Montana. I really, really miss snow. I haven't seen more than a few flakes at a time maybe once a year since I moved, and nothing has built up enough to stick.ยTo be honest, the main purpose of this picture was to try another snow scene.
I really wanted to do snow on the trees, and it was a challenge to work out how to make the effect work.ย

Okay, Turnip - you were correct - I absolutely LOVE how your snow turned out! The background lighting and the light on the snow are spectacular and so reminds me of early mornings up north! ย Love those characters - wouldn't want to surprise them in the woods! Very interesting bow also...hmmmm. Have to kinda agree with Noxaunu; my eyes are wandering trying to fine that focal point, but WOW, the scene in total really grabs your attention! ย Well done!ย

this is a lovely image!
I'd say what bothers me most is the dark values in the shadows (they should be lighter) and lack of focal point, the image is lightest on the right side, which draws the eye there, but the characters are on the left and rather dimly lit
