On March 23rd, 2020, I watched the Ratchet and Clank movie for the first time.

What happened next was that this somehow kindled a love for this franchise I never knew I had and I proceeded to draw the funny robot a lot. Why this didn't kick off from me playing A Crack in Time or Up Your Arsenal, much better additions to the franchise than the 2016 movie that no one likes, I will never know.

I think the main thing is Elaris. I really like Elaris a lot and I will admit she quickly became a favorite even though chances are pretty good that she'll be quickly forgotten by the time Rift Apart rolls around and she'll be eternally trapped in the reboot no one wants to talk about. The biggest Ratchet and Clank wiki even straight up puts a note saying that she's not canon and doesn't exist on her page. That's cruel, man. Why do I have to put up with the fact that Zurgo is "more canon" than Elaris.

I will admit I was kinda shy about posting this sketch collection because a lot of these are tipping my hand and revealing to the world that yes, I think it'd be really cute if Elaris, as a reward for being tormented by Captain Qwark for almost the entire movie, got a neat robot boyfriend out of the deal. Both Elaris and Nefarious have been scarred by workplace-related bullying and have kinda internalized their torment in very different ways so I imagine they would definitely bond and have a lot in common because of this. Plus their names rhyme. I like that in a character coupling.

And yes, I also like to think that he dated Vorselon for a brief period of time. Because Dr. Nefarious gives off incredible bisexual vibes. (as well as incredible "I have terrible taste in men" vibes, as seen in All 4 One)
