A doodle from last night that I decided to color.Β Just a little drawing of Mier watchin' out for his sheepies. (Well technically, they're his dad's but whatever) Yeah that's right, the project is called "Sky Herder" because that's the name of the job that the kid's have.Β And that's why Mier has a shepherd's crook... because he's a shepherd. XD The color on this is pretty rough, but I still like the image alright. Oh, also, I made my watermark finally, so there's that too. :> And I couldn't think of a title for this. Even if it's a pretty rough job, there's a lot of charm in this piece. I really like the simplicity and limited color palette. The big empty area really adds to it too, beautifully handled.Β

Lol, technically the acronym should be "TSH" because the project is called "The Sky Herder" but that reads kinda funny, and everyone and their mom that has said it aloud to me calls it "Sky Herders" so I tend to just call it "Sky Herder" so it just gets "SH" for the acronym.Β XD

I think the simplicity of background colours lends an innocence to this piece, which works great for Mier in my opinion.

As for the watermark... I don't like watermarks but I know why they exists.
There is 2 purposes:
1) to alert thieves that it is "known" art (like a alarm sticker on a home's door)
2) to imprint signature in a way that it cannot be removed easily (which usually alter art poorly)
Personally I stick to the #1 use only, but in your case you also address #2 without altering the main part of the art.

I actually kinda like the rough look, it kind of adds a...I suppose sort of rustic feel, I'm not so sure how to describe it. It's just good! XD
