They're actually really easy to make and they only take 3 or 4 hours. I could explain but I don't think I'm doing it right, haha. I could try, do you crochet?

no i just knitted a sweater for my husband once (man i was so proud). i could imagine you start with one mesh and then add more each row, and then do it reverse to get a ball? that is how i would try it =O

Wow, I can't imagine doing a sweater. Maybe someday.
Mesh? Haha, I am such a noob.
I just do 3 or 4 in a starting chain, and then crochet every stitch twice (That's how I increase.) until it's 2 or 3 inches wide. Then I just crochet like normal (somehow it forms a bowl shape- the stitches that I crochet twice end up flat) until it's as tall as I want it, sew on buttons, and fill with popcorn kernels. To finish I skip every other stitch until it's closed up (these also turn out flat), knot it, and viola!
So, it's easy but it looks impressive.

Thanks! @//u//@
It's actually really simple and easy to learn. I just had somebody teach me the basic stitch and I made up my own increases and decreases.
I like crochet because it's so quick. ~
