I'm old enough to remember when everyone passionately hated her. Except for this movie...heh...

i'm from the generation who knows jane fonda as an old creepy mature woman like raquel welch or ursula andress but asides my age i think this is a great b-movie  & exploitation pop culture character concept even with the pass of the years

Geez, I remember her when she was smoking hot, and a total embarrassment to her father, heh. Ursula Andress used to be called "Ursula Undress."

Keep in mind how fairly restrictive the media was at the time, then check out some of their racier pin up and nudes from the 60's.

Jane made some comments back in the 60's about the Vietnam War in general, which were pretty realistic, although could've been said in less radical words, but then she took some shots at the drafted troops, who were, well, drafted and really didn't have a choice about being there.

It was a different time and a different world. Every night the evening news would announce a body count. Sandwiched in there was the Flintstones, the first manned space flights, race riots, the Addams Family, Speed Racer, the death of Bobby Kennedy, Dark Shadows, and Julie Newmar as Catwoman. Comics as a social conscience were decades away.

And me and my friends were still arguing which cartoon chick we would boink if they were real.
