Drew this in Florida after a boat ride in Silver Springs (everglades-like place)Did you know that red-ear sliders have to sunbathe so deadly moss on their shells will become dried up and will slide off when they dive back in the water else they won't be able to breathe through their shells?

What kinda Turtle do you think that these guys were mutated from?

Mirage has said in one of their comics that (at least) Donny is a Red Ear Slider, and since they're brothers I assume they all are considering how they mutated the same where as a snapping turtle like Tokka in the second movie was mutated differently. Also, Red Ear Sliders are the most common turtles used as pets - nearly all the ones you see at pet stores are Red Ear Sliders.

I do, even so it's the bond of being raised together as brothers that makes the show so wonderful to me. My mother and her biological brothers were raised with her stepdad's son and the closeness in that relationship even surpasses some of their closest friends. I guess that's why their family bond hits so close to home for me
