Ji Yoo may not be academically talented, but she sure goes out of her way to study hard, effectively planning her time and signing up for extra school projects. The girl puts a lot of effort in every assignment, shaping them to perfection. She hopes that if she keeps working hard enough, it will one day make a difference.
In her relationships with other people, while not exactly unapproachable, ji-Yoo has a hard time forming lasting friendships because of her goal-oriented personality. School always comes first for her and her friends get tired of that side of her at some point. The cherry on top, however, is that she can’t take criticism well and when provoked, Ji-Yoo boldly voices out everything she hates about people, offending them and ignoring their feelings.
Despite her confident exterior, Ji-Yoo’s positivity sometimes gets shaken and out comes a little girl who is actually insecure about her abilities and feels useless in comparison to other people. During these moments, she becomes overly sensitive and prone to making mistakes.

-------Biography-------
Yoon Ji-Yoo was born to a mixed couple: a South Korean man and a Japanese woman, both very rich and successful business people. Because of his work, Ji-Yoo’s dad was in Japan most of the time, eventually settling down there after meeting his future wife. Since both her parents were humble and kind people, they naturally wished for their daughter to be the same, often involving her in their charity work. Unfortunately, Ji-Yoo had a naturally bratty personality, which made it hard for other people to like her.
When Ji-Yoo was 4 year old, Seung-Hoon entered her life. Originally from an orphanage in South Korea, the 9 year old Seung-Hoon was adopted by the Yoon family. Initially, Ji-Yoo was put off by him because he was (to quote her) “ugly and fat”, Seung-Hoon’s kindness eventually won her over. He became her brother, her best friend, her first love and overall the only person who could truly look into her heart. Because of his positive influence, Ji-Yoo became somewhat more polite and kind.
Fast forward a few years, Ji-Yoo started going to school and was faced with the highly competitive Japanese education system. Unfortunately, she was not a gifted student and that brought along disappointed reactions from her family and teachers. To make things worse, she accidentally heard her parents talking about how it was too bad that their daughter might not become capable enough to take over the family business in the future. That particular event made Ji-Yoo feel less than human and in her mind, the thought that people who don’t do well at school won’t be admired and loved by anyone, was born.

After that, Ji-Yoo started spending most of her time with her nose in a book, behaviour that persisted throughout her primary and middle-school years. Friends that she had before or that she could have had were lost forever because of her negligence and her relationship with her brother resumed strictly to him helping out with homework. Soon enough Seung-Hoon left to Korea to pursue a music career and Ji-Yoo was left alone completely. She didn't even know her brother had a passion for music because all she ever talked to him about was school. Along came the harsh realization that she had nobody around anymore and Ji-Yoo started wondering for the first time what she had been doing all along. All she ever wanted was to impress people with her good grades, but instead she drove them away and it took a bit too long for her to figure it out. The lost time with her brother couldn't be brought back, but it was time for Ji-Yoo to enter high school at the neighboring Seiyo Academy, and just maybe she could change her ways. While she was imagining her new self, a mysterious egg appeared on her night stand.
