Here is a question for you:

"How do you know if the face you put on for everyone is just a cheap act, a mask? You just put on a mask for everyone to see and you believe that this you. When you have no idea that there is another reason you do it: to hide the other side of you, your 'Shadow'. You use a 'Persona' to hide what you've hidden away to the deepest parts of your mind, so much that you barely know what it is you've hidden, and when you see what you hid, you try to deny and reject it. You only know who you are, once you know your shadow self, accept it, and create a completely new persona, a better one."

This is a drawing I've made because of the Psychology research I've been doing about Carl Jung's "Model of the Human Psyche" in my free time.

The "Persona" is basically the personality that you put on around other people. It is the way you want other people to see you as. It is a mask you wear in and for society.

The "Shadow" is whatever repressed thoughts, emotions, impulses, and personality traits that you have rejected and hidden away into your subconscious mind, and you deny it's even there.

There are many benefits that come from integrating your shadow and accepting it.

So the question remains: "What kind of mask do you wear?"
