Description
Here is a really old piece I dug up, it was done for a good friend [link] of his concept for a fallen seraphim (six winged angel) I went over the lines and added a lot of line weight as well as a ton of detail here are the original lines [link] so you can see the improvements for yourself. I often enjoy improving upon my stuff as well as exsisting characters so it was fun redoing this piece to see how far I could take it so lets see what you guys think.Related content

I like the contrasts in the piece a great deal!I love the choice of background paper also.Capturing mid transmutation is awesome.

no Lucifer's not a Seraphim, sorry, but for the contrary Lucifer is a cherubim, as said in Ezekiel 28:14 "Thou art an anointed "CHERUB" who is covering, And I have set thee in the holy mount, God thou hast been, In the midst of stones of fire thou hast walked up and down." - refers to Lucifer.

Wow, that's amazing... but the word "seraphim" is plural. Singular is "seraph". As in, "The seraph fell from grace", or "The greater number of the seraphim remained true to their Lord". "-im" is the Hebrew plural suffix. The only place where this doesn't apply is "Elohim", even though it is plural, but is used to refer to a singular God...

Yeah, this is definitely an awesome couple of steps up from the older version. My absolute favorite part of this picture is the pose. The details and shading are nice, but that pose kicks my ass.

What was it rendered with? I know you use pencil for the hatching? was the light and background just seperate digital layers?

Yah I pretty much just had the pencils then a new layer for the old paper and used the burn and dodge tools for the lighting..
