Second of my latest Egyptian images. I had actually put off doing this one for quite awhile, but he'll be part of another project I'm working on much later.

Set (or Seth, or Setesh/Sutech) is almost a split personality. He has what I call an Archaic aspect as a prestigious god of strength and desert storms; then there's his persona as the jealous, murderous brother in the Osiris myths. Rameses the Great and his father Seti I worshipped Set's Archaic form, but by the Late Period his evil persona was much more prevalent. I like working with Set as the villain in my manga, but I like working with villains in general; you just don't have a good story without them. That may ultimately be Set's kick; he makes you think, because you can't take him at face value or try to water him down.
