Description Found this on Google+ and thought it gives a pretty clear message about how I feel about my friends and fools who make them angry/sad/hurt and otherwise.

XD Aww, that's cute! Little owls are the best ^^

Google+ is awesome. Have you seen George Takei's google+ account? He's got some hilarious stuff up there Damn, I could read through his tuff all day... and laugh hysterically until everyone around me looked at me funny. I'll probably do that tomorrow to procrastinate more on homework....Β

Hurray for procrastination (not-serious at all) I do it too much, it's horrible but I am bored.

Thanks for the comment as always ^_^ and I hope the message is clear: I protect my friends or people face the consequences.Β

We don't talk much but you are an intellectual and I admire that. And at your age, remarkable. You I count among my "awesome people" group.

Yeah... I'm fighting a cold now too, and it's been at least a year and a half since I was last sick, so I have no coping skills to both get school work done and fight the virus I spent all day watching Mythbusters and sleeping...

Perfectly clear ^^ I hold the same position about my friends as well.

Thank you so much ^^ I am honored to be considered an awesome person Although I don't think of myself as much of an intellectual... my brain's more like this: plus.google.com/u/0/+GeorgeTak… Β except with Hellboy, Doctor Who, Stargate, Star Trek, and Farscape quotes instead of Monty Pithon quotes.

You and I share many'a the same shows, cool. Which Stargate and Star Trek were your favorites?

I think all of the brains these days are the same as the one you showed, even professors who work in academics have their "Useless Trivia" and "Monty Python Quotes" - and I would almost bet money a few professors know about the Fish Slapping Dance. One of my colleagues back at SF MaritimeΒ knew that one and told it to another.

Eozspike In reply to TutorVeritatis [2013-10-21 16:25:58 +0000 UTC]

Cool ^^ I would have to say that Stargate SG-1 is my favorite, because they didn't permanently kill off any of my favorite characters, which is super rare for a TV show for me. I love Stargate Atlantis too, but they kill off that one soldier (actor's name is Rainbow Sun Franks), Todd, and Dr. Beckett (twice! >.<). I did not like how they made SGU so dark without any humor, which was so key in the other shows. It could have been great, but just wasn't funny enough to keep a hold on most Stargate fans.

As far as Star Trek, the original and Deep Space Nine are my favorites, and really the only one's I'll watch. I've seen episodes here and there of Enterprise, Voyager, and Next Generation, but there's just not quite enough forward thinking and boundary pushing and combine that with sub-par writing and directing/acting and a lack of alien characters and I'm just not interested. DS9 was good. It pushed forward with having a black man as commander and a Sudanese man as the doctor! They also had a much better ratio of women to men main characters (not as good as Farscape, but they did better in the race department, so it evens out.)

If you haven't figured it already, the recent rebooted Star Trek movies have greatly disappointed me. They pretty much pushed no social boundaries, when it would have been so. damn. easy. just to have Spock and Kirk get together >.< And making the movies completely about Kirk to the point of pushing several other key characters to the background was not cool. It is not going to make people like him more.Β

.... and don't even get me started on actor choice and Spock's lack of eyebrow movement >.>Β

Haha, maybe some XD although I have met plenty of people who's "Monty Python Quotes" section is replaced with "pop culture references" and whose social skills section is switched with science, a huge chunk of their "useless trivia" replaced with "real life people's names", and their math section is crowded with "relationship status". I find it difficult to hold conversations with these people about anything besides dogs/horses/other pets.Β

SG-1 and Atlantis were great series. I have only watched 2 or 3 episodes of Universe. Voyager and Enterprise were good series as well. Have not watched Deep Space Nine, some episodes of Next Gen, some Farscape. As for the new movies... Well they're enough for me to watch, completely different but fine nonetheless. Though watching Into Darkness I noticed the formal uniform are more military. I thought that was interesting.

As for my brain. I've no idea, more history than anything up there.

Eozspike In reply to TutorVeritatis [2013-10-21 21:24:25 +0000 UTC]

DS9 is worth it, once you get past the first half a season or so when they finally settle down the characters. Dr. Bashir and Kira are really annoying for a while, but then they turn into awesome characters.

The biggest thing I noticed from Into Darkness was that Spock raised his eyebrow once in the whole movie. Just once. That's like making a Stargate movie and having Teal'c only raise his eyebrow or say "indeed" once. Or like having Spock smile like in the old episode Amok Time. It's unsettling. I guess I'm just a bit of a stickler for the original most of the time I tend to recognize a character just as much by their actions and body language as by their physical appearance, and it was a little weird to have someone who looks so much like a younger Leonard Nimoy but act so differently. At least with Scottie's character it was pretty much just the name that was the same, they were as alike as Zoey from Firefly and Zoey from Eureka, almost.

I agree that a more militarized look to Starfleet was an interesting choice. I suppose they did it to further point out that this is a time before the Enterprise's five year "peaceful" mission.

XD

TutorVeritatis In reply to Eozspike [2013-10-21 22:51:22 +0000 UTC]

Hahaha, Teal'c not raising an eyebrow or saying Indeed would be weird! XD

You watch Eureka as well? I have not watched it since the middle, I think, of the alternate timeline storyarc, Fargo as director, Joe as Head of Security, and Sheriff Andy who is still weird and annoying.

I always thought Starfleet was a bit soft in it's appearance but, seeing a military version, it looks too harsh. Odd.

Eozspike In reply to TutorVeritatis [2013-10-22 01:08:07 +0000 UTC]

Yep I saw the whole thing. You don't like Andy? I thought he was hilarious! Especially when he was dating Sarah XD I mean, someone that cheerful all the time in real life would probably drive me nuts, but as a character it's fun. Like Zoidberg or Bender.

Interesting.... I wonder what a more medium appearance would look like.

TutorVeritatis In reply to Eozspike [2013-10-22 01:14:45 +0000 UTC]

Okay, Andy and Sarah dating was funny. I'll give you that. Zoidberg and Bender too.

I think medium appearance was struck with the Voyager series and the Enterprise movies with Patrick Stewart.

Eozspike In reply to TutorVeritatis [2013-10-22 15:26:26 +0000 UTC]

Ok Β I kinda like the softer look myself, but that's possibly because I watch Star Trek more for the laughs than anything else. It's also nice to watch a happier version of the future once in a while, since pretty much all other sci-fi these days is dis-topian. When I want a more military serious look I watch the peacekeepers in Farscape because they are on pretty much the other extreme XD

a little part time job during the summer or in between semesters is advised, you gain exactly what you said AND some wealth.

but take it from me, don't ask for a pardon to be a working student

just don't, it'll screw both of them

you'll be tired from work and miss classes, and will gain double the tiresome for no reason.
