Description Well, here we are with yet another request pic. This request, however, comes courtesy of , who asked me to draw an insertion pic that gives him the chance to be on stage, jamming with one of his favorite Danny Phantom characters, Ember McLain. Well, I hope you enjoy the moment, my friend. Just be advised that Ember has the services of a new bodyguard these days, and he's always "skulking" in the background.

Oh, don't worry, Dude. You're in no real danger. In fact, you won't even know he's there. Just make sure you adhere to his one main rule. "Keep your hands to yourself...and you get to keep your hands, PERIOD."

Now, I can already hear some of you now..."Wait a minute. That's supposed to be Skulker? But isn't that SkulkTe...?" Well, let me cut you off right there with a quick explanation. For those of you not familiar with my Danny Phantom fanfic series, Technus became bonded to Skulker's armor after the two were simultaneously captured in a fight with Danny and Sam, and the two did end up becoming SkulkTech 9.9 (as seen in the DP ep., "The Ultimate Enemy"). Now in the end, Tucker and Valerie were ultimately able to separate Technus from Skulker's armor, but Skulker kept the upgrades. So that's basically the look he's sporting now.

, this is your request, too. You requested an Ember pic almost the exact same time did, but I'm sure you won't mind sharing it. I just hope you both like what you're seeing right now, along with everybody else.

Well, let's see. I should be able to work something out with these images. Just a couple of follow-up questions, though...

- Did you want your OC to be in her human disguise or in her ghost form?

- Did you have something specific in mind when you said you wanted her and Ember doing something evil? Or did you want it like my other pic where they're on stage singing together. Because if it's the other way, I could have them singing in an "evil" kind of way, getting really provocative and trying to seduce the crowd.

Now like I said, this pic might still take a little while to do, mostly because I'm still in the middle of this fanfic I'm working on. But I'm still hopeful that I'll have it done before I have to head back to work on Tuesday, in which case, I'll be getting back to my artwork then.

I wanted my oc to be ghost I changed her to full ghost who she changes into human in disguise. But keep her as ghost in the picture please. Your idea of something evil is good and I need to know the ghost powers so I can give one to her.

TuxedAaron In reply to mimikayuko [2011-08-08 17:24:53 +0000 UTC]

So you want her in her ghost form. I should be able to handle that. And you're saying you like the idea of them onstage? Or do you want them doing something else?

As for what kind of powers to give your OC, well, the bare bones ghost powers are as follows. Ghosts can turn invisible, phase through solid objects, fly and have superhuman strength (the fact that Danny can lift a 14-ton school bus with no more effort than lifting a cardboard box should give you a pretty good benchmark as to how strong ghosts are, on average). Some ghosts (Danny, Danielle, Vlad, Walker, etc.) have the ability to fire Ghost Rays as well.

But then we get into specific abilities. Obviously, I won't get into TOO many specifics, but I will name a few. Ember's guitar, for example, obviously affords her certain luxuries (a Ghost Ray fist attack, various brainwashing, etc.), but she can also use her hair as a weapon. Technus can take control of anything electronic and convert it into a weapon. Desiree can quite literally do ANYTHING...provided someone actually WISHES for it. But she also has the ability to morph her hands/arms into various simple shapes, such as a lasso, a sledgehammer, etc.

Hope that's enough to get you started. I guess the main question you have to ask yourself now is what kind of ghost do you want her to be? That should give you a foundation for what kind of powers you want her to have. I guess the best way to answer that question and make your character stand out, though, is to take a look at the ghosts from the DP series overall and find something your girl can do that really isn't a specialty for any of the others.

TuxedAaron In reply to mimikayuko [2011-08-09 09:10:04 +0000 UTC]

Okay. Well, here's a thought. You could make her powers water based. Between her and Ember, it would be pretty steamy in more ways than one. It would make their performance on stage that much sexier, agreed?

It actually compliments her look as well, if you think about it. The way you have her hair so wavy and blue in her ghost form, you could actually make it look like water.

How ?

TuxedAaron In reply to mimikayuko [2011-08-10 18:52:36 +0000 UTC]

Well, consider that her hair is blue and wavy. So basically, you're more than halfway there. All you'd really need to do is throw in some bubbles in her hair, maybe some lines to simulate ripples or a watery current and you'd be set.

Hmmm, interesting. A pretty conservative outfit for an onstage show, though. Besides that, though, it's fairly evident that there's going to be an awful lot of blue in this pic. What I may end up doing when I get to the color segment is maybe tint Ember with a red or pink light, just to get a little contrast going. I only suggest tinting Ember because everyone knows what color SHE is. Your OC is the one no one knows, so it'll be better to keep her looking natural.

my characters color is not that Ember blue. I would like to keep it as water blue

TuxedAaron In reply to mimikayuko [2011-08-12 02:17:39 +0000 UTC]

Well, I'm not saying that your character and Ember's character are going to be the EXACT same color. But it still won't change the fact that there's going to be an awful lot of blue in this pic, which is why I'd like to see about tinting Ember with a red/pink spotlight, just to kind of throw in some contrast and make the pic more vibrant.

Well, your hard lines look noticeably cleaner than once they did. However, I'm not entirely sure what the approach is to your drawings. It almost looks like one form of drawing overlapped on top of another. How do you come up with your pieces?

What I mean was, how do you draw your pieces? Do you draw on paper and scan? Are they digital manipulations of existing pictures? It's just that knowing your approach to your pics would help me to determine just how far you've improved.

TuxedAaron In reply to mimikayuko [2011-08-22 07:52:13 +0000 UTC]

Well, right now, there are two types of main picture files floating around these days, JPG. and PNG. I've noticed a lot of people making the switch over to PNG files for their work because I guess it's supposed to look clearer and more defined. Personally, having tried a couple of pics as PNG, I have to say that I've never noticed any appreciable difference between the two, so I generally just stick with keeping my files jpg, for simplicity's sake.

TuxedAaron In reply to mimikayuko [2011-08-30 11:04:27 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, I'm fine with Photoshop right now. Speaking of which, I really can't say why your tablet is giving you trouble when you try to use Photoshop. I mean, there's clearly some kind of interface issue, but I have no idea if the source of the problem is your tablet or Photoshop. Is this problem exclusively reserved to Photoshop or do you have problems with other programs?

[link] you got to try this its the best animation program I tried.

and its been doing that with my sai program and photoshop for a year now.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

TuxedAaron In reply to mimikayuko [2011-09-02 04:06:59 +0000 UTC]

Really. It's been doing that with both of your art programs, huh? Well, I really don't know what to say. Have you tried using your tablet for other things besides those programs? Maybe try using it interactively as a stylus in place of your mouse or something. If it still gives you trouble, then the obvious problem would be that there's something wrong with your tablet.

As for an animation program, I'm really not interested in that right now. Just doing my artwork is enough work for me without trying to animate anything.

Its like every freeken noob has some kind of mental issue to come over here and harass people on here

I dont know about the first question at first I started with a laptop mouse

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

TuxedAaron In reply to mimikayuko [2011-09-03 15:09:36 +0000 UTC]

Well, the thing with tablets is, you can actually use them in place of a mouse, move your cursor around, tap to open things, etc. It's like a stylus on a touch screen. I was just saying that if your tablet is giving you problems in that area as well, not just in areas regarding your art programs, then that would reveal that there's most likely a problem with your tablet itself.

Now, as for these people harassing you, it seems that DA has already taken action and had their messages flagged as spam. Or was that you who did that? Either way, my best advice would simply be to not dignify anything they do with a response.
