Well, here we are with yet another request pic. This request, however, comes courtesy of , who asked me to draw an insertion pic that gives him the chance to be on stage, jamming with one of his favorite Danny Phantom characters, Ember McLain. Well, I hope you enjoy the moment, my friend. Just be advised that Ember has the services of a new bodyguard these days, and he's always "skulking" in the background.Oh, don't worry, Dude. You're in no real danger. In fact, you won't even know he's there. Just make sure you adhere to his one main rule. "Keep your hands to yourself...and you get to keep your hands, PERIOD."
Now, I can already hear some of you now..."Wait a minute. That's supposed to be Skulker? But isn't that SkulkTe...?" Well, let me cut you off right there with a quick explanation. For those of you not familiar with my Danny Phantom fanfic series, Technus became bonded to Skulker's armor after the two were simultaneously captured in a fight with Danny and Sam, and the two did end up becoming SkulkTech 9.9 (as seen in the DP ep., "The Ultimate Enemy"). Now in the end, Tucker and Valerie were ultimately able to separate Technus from Skulker's armor, but Skulker kept the upgrades. So that's basically the look he's sporting now.
, this is your request, too. You requested an Ember pic almost the exact same time did, but I'm sure you won't mind sharing it. I just hope you both like what you're seeing right now, along with everybody else.

Im trying everything and It doesnt seem to work. Im trying to get new accounts and then later on I get rid of them. and Im tired of this and the fact that I have to pull other people in to this.

Well, if it's that much of a problem, you see the little pencil icon at the top of any messages left on your page? Just click that icon and select the option, "Block User". That should get them off your back.

The beach, huh? Well, it WOULD be the perfect excuse to draw Ember in a swimsuit. I'm thinking Maybe having Ember lounging on the beach while Skulker is out in front keep people away so she has the whole beach to herself. Sound good?
And what kind of swimsuit do you think Ember would wear?
Anyway, glad you like my work. Believe me, you're not the first person who thinks I should be seeking out Butch Hartman to work with him. Not to brag, of course, I'm just accepting the compliment.

Well, I don't know if something frilly like that is Ember's style. But since she won't be your main point of interest, I suppose I can come up with something on my own. But I've already got a pretty good image in my head.

Okay, for the record, I'm going to be working on your pic next. If you don't think it's too risque, I'm going to be putting Ember in a V-shaped bikini. While I grant she'd never get away with wearing something like that in an actual episode, I just can't get the image out of my head.

Glad you like it. Yeah, like I said, Skulker's look is based on one of my fanfics where Skulker and Technus did, in fact, become SkulkTech 9.9. Of course, they were ultimately separated again at the end of the story, but Skulker kept the armor upgrades. After all, I figured, why should Technus (and to a lesser extent, Spectra) get all the new forms? I definitely feel it's an improvement.

Well, we both know why you were delayed. As for my pics, yeah, every time I work with my pics on the computer, I gradually find little ways to improve and make my pics better.
As for your question, well, I know what she said. But this being a request pic, I guess all you can do is suspend your disbelief for this moment.

For the record, I own a Wacom Bamboo Tablet. Wacom is one of the big names in tablets, so their stuff is really good.
By the way, I know that link you sent me. THat's where I ended up in my initial search. But I still didn't see anything that had to do with scanning. Where exactly in that article did you see it?

Glad to hear it. You know, the truth is, if I hadn't drawn that one picture of mine, "Danny and Sam: Gone Ghost", with my tablet last year, I would have never believed I could do this. When I was younger, I was never any good at all emulating other people's styles. I guess drawing with a style of my own kind of helped give me the right perspective to finally start pulling it off.

I tried it a few months ago. Didn't get it exactly right but got it as close as I physically could. This style seems to take more effort to copy than the others I've dealt with. I tried it in my own style but it did not look good.

Well, some styles carry over into other art styles well, others, not so much. For me, I think my abilities to draw Danny Phantom and Kim Possible stem from the fact that they both have kind of an anime bent to them. And anime is really the art style I excel at.

Well, I took a look at your gallery, but your pics seem to be all over the place in terms of styles. Is there one particular type of cartoon style that you feel the most comfortable with?

Transformers I guess. If Im not doing my original work I try and emulate whatever it is I am drawing.

Well, Danny Phantom does have some basic design similarities to Transformers, particularly Transformers animated. Still, like I say, I know how you feel. When I was younger, it drove me crazy that I could never emulate someone else's style when I wanted to. I was always like, "Come on, this looks so simple. WHY CAN'T I GET IT RIGHT?!"
One thing that really helps me, though (and I cannot overstate how completely invaluable this is), is I have both the Danny Phantom and Kim Possible series on my computer. Using that, I'm able to pause and really study things like facial features and body poses, which is very helpful when I make a decision on how I want a picture to look. Without that aid, I really don't think I'd be able to emulate these works as well as I have.

That's a good meathod. Yeah there are some similarities to TF Animated. And I sometimes have problems with that design because of it's odd angles. But I love it none the less. Which makes me all the more determined to master the design. I have so many references for them to try and get it right.

Well, like I say, having access to the episodes where I can see them anytime I want and get the proper images at the right moments and poses is just an unbelievably helpful method for me.

Well actually, I was fairly lucky. I had a friend to help find the Danny Phantom episodes for me. If you'd like, I can probably see if he can remember where he got them from. This was a couple years ago, however, so he might have forgotten. But it's worth a shot.

I see. I think my friend got them through a torrent if I'm not mistaken, but I'm not entirely sure from where. But I suppose if you can still access Livevideo and still pause the screen during play, that should be able to serve you just as well.

So glad to hear it. For the record, I used a combination of Gregor/Elliot from "Double-Cross My Heart" with a little of Vlad to come up with a design for you. Sorry I had to use the jerks of the series, but for what it's worth, I did use Tucker as reference for the pants and boots. And I think we'll both agree, you turned out pretty good in DP-style.
As for Skulker, he's really the only compromise I had to make about this pic. My original vision had him hiding behind a curtain backstage, not behind a speaker onstage. But the width of the page, not to mention the angle of the drawing just didn't allow for that. So I had to switch that up just a little tiny bit. But even in spite of that, the picture still looks more or less how I imagined it would.
