Hi everyone. I'm sure you're wondering what I've been up to for the last little while. Well, I did post a story recently on fanfiction.net, even if it wasn't the story everyone was counting on. In the meantime, I'm finding myself in a position where I'm just kind of collecting my thoughts, with regards to other projects going forward. But while I was doing that, I figured I'd at least do something that's actually been on my mind for a few years now and that's revisiting one of my earliest pics, "Danny and Sam: Starlight Kiss" .

For those of you who know me, this is not exactly a new thing. I've done revisits of pictures before. The first one was, coincidentally, my very first pic, "Danny and Sam: Gone Ghost" . When I initially drew the picture, I was well aware of its limitations, because at that time, I really didn't know anything and I drew it more as an experiment than anything else. But even though I liked the final result enough to post it, my intention was always to circle back around to it once I had a larger skill set and could present it in the way it was always MEANT to be seen...the way I'd always envisioned it in my head. Not long after, a request was made of me to do a revisit of my pic "A Doting Big Sister" , where I went back and actually redrew the whole thing from scratch.

What you're seeing here is mostly what I did with "Gone Ghost", where I'm basically just coming back and touching it up. The background never needed any improvement. It still stands perfectly fine on its own. What I always wanted to do was come back to Danny and Sam themselves, straighten up some of the lines and the shading, things like that. If you do a side-by-side comparison, I think you'll find it's not really a TREMENDOUS improvement, on balance. Nevertheless, it IS cleaner and I'm glad I took the time to go back to it.

Of course, by all means, tell me what you think. Like other pictures I've redone in the past, I have no intention of getting rid of the original. I find it's always best to remember where you came from and how you got started. But even though there's no new ground being covered here, it's still a little something and I hope you enjoy it. ^_^
