Description Hi everyone.  Hoping you didn't think I'd forgotten to post a pic this week.

Today, we have a follow-up to my 30,000-Hit Commemorative pic, , which featured my Kim Possible OC, Maximillion, running around with Elizabeth from Bioshock Infinite (everyone's favorite non-Disney Disney Princess).  I'm actually seriously considering writing a fanfic along these lines, though I don't have it anywhere near planned out.

This was the idea I had in my head for the final scene, though.  At the end of their adventuring, Elizabeth realizes she has one more thing she has to do while she's a guest in this particular reality.  And Max, who's already deduced who Elizabeth is, follows her there.  Where she's found is at a cemetery in New York, paying her respects at two particular graves.  And one look at the tombstones reveals that this was a reality where the circumstances that created Elizabeth never occurred and she was free to live out her life as she was always meant to.  Naturally, Elizabeth can't help but get a little emotional.  Max, meanwhile, remains respectful.

Those who've played the game, I'm hoping will understand where I'm going with this.  As for everyone else, I just hope you see a good, quality pic.  As always, hope everyone likes what they see.^_^

PS = is this also an OC x Canon drawing?

Glad to hear it.  That's more or less what I was going for. ^_^

Well, it's not a "shipping" pic, if that's what you're asking.  But while Max is definitely my OC, the nature of the pic, itself, could definitely be considered canon, if you want to get technical about it.  After all, with all the infinite parallels in the world of Bioshock Infinite, there had to be at least ONE world were everything more or less turned out okay.  Of course, had this been a story of some kind, it's one of those reveals that wouldn't be made until the very end.

Well, my logic is, that with all the infinite parallel realities that Bioshock Infinite hit us with, you've gotta believe that there was at least ONE of these worlds where everything worked out.  And you had to know Elizabeth would have at least visited this world one time.

I have. It was an awesome game.

TuxedAaron In reply to sonicfighter [2017-11-12 17:37:54 +0000 UTC]

It was.  It's one of my favorite games that I still play repeatedly...the others on the list being Batman: Arkham City, Resident Evil 4 and Bayonetta (1 AND 2).

Hopefully, you stayed away from the Burial At Sea DLC, though.  I mean, I loved the gameplay, but the story was an absolute train wreck.

I never got a chance to play Burial At Sea.

TuxedAaron In reply to sonicfighter [2017-11-12 18:20:35 +0000 UTC]

Oh, trust me...you dodged a bullet.  Like I said, the gameplay is awesome, but the story just flies COMPLETELY off the rails and the end is unrewarding, AT BEST.

I can give you a synopsis of what happens, if you'd like, but I can pretty much guarantee you won't like what you hear.

Considering that Burial at Sea was supposed to be some love letter and final sendoff to Bioshock Infinite, I have to say...this game deserved better.

Sorry, forgot to mention that I don't recommend the Burial at Sea DLC.  Personally, I thought the story for that was a complete waste.

Oh, I love it, too.  This game ranks among only a handful of ones I've completed multiple times (other such prestigious titles include Batman: Arkham City and Bayonetta).  And Elizabeth is an absolutely lovable character.

Yeah, I like how this pic turned out.  To a perfect world.

(Okay, granted, in a REALLY perfect world, her mother would have survived the childbirth, but I don't know her mother's name, so I only went with the characters I DID know.)

Is the title suppose to contradict the picture?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

TuxedAaron In reply to X-factor109 [2014-06-26 03:27:35 +0000 UTC]

No, it was meant to indicate that in a perfect world, Anna Dewitt would never have been sold by her father only to be transported to a parallel world and gain the abilities she acquired to turn her into "Elizabeth" through her physical interaction with the portal.  So she would have lived a normal life.  Of course, I suppose in a REALLY perfect world, her mother would never have died in childbirth, thus driving her grief-stricken father to sell her off in the first place.  But then I don't know her mother's name, so I only went with the two headstones I knew about.

Max is, Elizabeth isn't.  She was one of the main characters in the video game, Bioshock Infinite.  Still, like I said, she is, for all intents and purposes, a Disney Princess.  She just had the rotten luck of not appearing in a Disney movie.

X-factor109 In reply to TuxedAaron [2014-06-29 00:13:22 +0000 UTC]

You think that she should be a Disney princess?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

TuxedAaron In reply to X-factor109 [2014-06-29 03:22:29 +0000 UTC]

I don't think she SHOULD be, I think she IS.  Like I said, she just had the rotten luck of not appearing in a Disney movie.  Basically, when you meet her, she's this teenager being held prisoner in a tower with big dreams of seeing the world and abilities she doesn't even have a clue about (despite the "held prisoner" part, that sounds like pretty much every Disney Princess we've ever seen).  There's this innocence about her that you want to preserve throughout the entire experience, even after a point in the game where she's forced to do something horrible in order to prevent an even more despicable act from taking place.  And when it's all said and done, despite the seriously bittersweet nature of the ending (it's not all sunshine and rainbows at the end, although the scene at the end of the credits suggests that it COULD be), she basically ends up becoming a god.

Even the way you first meet in the game is so "Disney-esque".  When you're trying you infiltrate the tower to reach her, the skylight you're on gives way and you end up falling into the library where she happens to be.  Next thing you know, you're dangling from a hand rail right in front of her, she screams, you fall on your ass and then she starts throwing things at you.  I mean, seriously, how adorable is that?  That's just one of a handful of gaming moments that are very akin to Disney.

I guess so.

TuxedAaron In reply to X-factor109 [2014-06-29 12:30:04 +0000 UTC]

Yeah.  But it is worth mentioning that as the game progresses, even though it begins so bright and cheerful (regardless of the fact that said cheer is really undeserved by the people you meet), it continues becoming darker and more wicked.
