Description
Allow me to humbly present the latest picture in what will continue to be an increasing gallery. This image is actually kind of a promotional picture for my KP fanfic, "The More Things Change..." (check out my Profile here - [link] - for all of my stories). Obviously, some of the players you'll recognize and others you won't. You'll have to read the story to...well...get the full story.(Just as a little hint, though, the guy dressed in black with the cane is named Maximillion. And no, Shego doesn't like him very much. You'll have to read the story to find out why.)
Frankly, I didn't envision that this pic would end up being so crowded. Every character I wanted to add is in here, but I was hoping for more open space (kind of have everything blending together like on a Disney movie poster). Unfortunately, as the pencil work wore on, it just didn't work out that way. Still, when all was said and done, I think it came out half decent and I hope you all enjoy it. As always, any and all comments are appreciated.

Well, for someone who's never read "The More Things Change", I'll just give you a few of the most basic gists. However, I'll avoid giving you any real specifics, just so some things come as a surprise if you do decide to read my fics at any point. Basically, where things are in my Kim Possible fanfic series (at this point, I've written enough stories to legitimately call it a series), this is the post-"Graduation" KP world and Kim and Ron have both moved on to college. Ron does have full control over his MMP now. As for Kim's Battle Suit in this pic, yes, Wade's tweaked it a bit so that it has the ability to absorb energy and fire it back in the form of a proton cannon that morphs out of the wrist of her suit. As for Max, well, Drakken may have a right to cringe, but without giving anything away, I think Max says it best to Shego in the third chapter of "The More Things Change..."
"Oh, Shego, Shego, Shego. In ALL the time we have known each other, WHATβ¦could I have POSSIBLY doneβ¦that would make you think I'm scared of you?"
Now, in my fanfic series, are Kim and Ron still doing missions? Yes. Are they going to work for Global Justice? As far as my series goes, really the best answer I can give at this moment is...not yet. However, since one of the menu screens in the "A Sitch in Time" DVD shows a picture of a future Kim running Global Justice as the new Dr. Director, a lot of fans have taken that to mean that going to Global Justice is already a foregone conclusion. And I have to admit, I wouldn't mind seeing it happen. Although at this point in my series, that is so far off that if I were to write about that, I would have to make sure to point out that it's a story set in the future.
I hope this turned out to be some kind of a decent response to you. I'm a little tired right now, so I'm never sure if my replies are good or just mindless blathering when I'm like this.

Glad you liked the picture. I hope it gave you at least a little bit of peace and serenity, since your DA journal entry seems to indicate that you're having a rough time of it right now (although to say it like that probably doesn't do your situation justice). Anyway, just so you know, I've got a new Kim Possible fic in the works (entitled "Swimming in Circles"), at which point, I'll focus on getting a few more pics out. There's going to be at least one more picture of Max in the upcoming set (showing you what he looks like when he's not in "Mission Mode") and also a couple more Danny Phantom pics as well (maybe pictures of Future Danny and Future Sam, I haven't decided yet).
You know, if anybody asks about things like cartoons and whatnot, there is something about them that they do. They remind you that there's still some good in this world...and it's worth holding onto. Something to think about when it seems that you're surrounded by nothing but darkness and hopefully one of my fanfics or artwork provides some relief. In the meantime, keep your head up and I'll talk to you later.

Well, I'm slowly piecing things together in my head, so I should be able to start some actual writing soon. Since this KP story is going to be written as a mini-ep., like the TV eps. "Rufus in Show" or "Sick Day", the plot is going to be rather simple and it's probably not going to be as long as some of my recent stories have been. Having said that, though, it's going to have a couple of good moments in it and I hope it gets some laughs out of people. In the meantime, take care of yourself.

Great work, Aaron. Told you I'd get around to it. D: It is a *little* crowded, but you still make sure to have the same quality in each and every character there. So Awesome job.

Glad you like it. Yeah, I was hoping for more open space, but that's just the way it played out as the drawing progressed. Still, with the exception of a few small compromises, everyone looks more or less the way I wanted them to.
Oh, and I slimmed down Max, too.

So glad you like it. Actually, one of the things I'm most proud of about this pic (regardless of the fact that everyone more or less looks great) is Shego. While I admit that I could have done her face a little better (nothing I can really do about that except make a mental note for next time), I was just so blown away that I got that plasma effect around her hands to work so well. When I started doing the CG work, that was one aspect of the pic that I had absolutely no idea how I was going to make work and I was fully prepared for the possibility that I was going to have to make some compromises in that area. But after a little experimentation and a few tweaks here and there, it came out just absolutely perfectly. I'm really pleased with it and I'll definitely have to keep the technique I used in mind for future pics (not just Shego, but also any DP ecto-energy pics).

Poes-crow In reply to TuxedAaron [2010-09-04 02:23:30 +0000 UTC]
yeah that would be awesome if you did the ecto-blast like Shego's go-team glow. I hope that you like my pic when I get it on here, or one of my stories.
Hey is there anything really important on the "Agreement" that i should know about or can i just press "I agree" without any real worries?
π: 0 β©: 1
TuxedAaron In reply to Poes-crow [2010-09-04 02:56:24 +0000 UTC]
Well, don't worry about the ecto-energy or Ghost Rays. Now that I actually have a technique in place and I know it works, there shouldn't be too much trouble. And my pics from here on in can only benefit as a result.
As for your pics and stories on the horizon, let me know when you get something up. I'll definitely give a it a look-see.
As for this "Agreement" of which you speak, what exactly do you mean? Are you talking about that warning DA posts when you click that link I provided? If so, I have to admit, that caught me a little by surprise, too, but it's a sensible precaution when you really think about it. I have no doubt that some people would post links to some pretty malicious stuff.
However, in this case, you needn't worry. The link I posted is basically just what I said it is. It links you straight to my Profile page on fanfiction.net, where all my stories are posted. So you can basically just click "Continue to..." and it'll just take you there. No muss, no fuss.

TuxedAaron In reply to Poes-crow [2010-09-04 14:11:17 +0000 UTC]
Well, when I click "Submit Art", it just takes me straight to the Submission Page. There's nothing on my end that asks for me to "Agree" to anything. Have you read the Submission Guidelines and/or the Terms of Service? That might have something to do with it. Or maybe it has something to do with your age, if you're a minor or something. What exactly is it asking you to agree to?

Poes-crow In reply to TuxedAaron [2010-09-04 14:14:54 +0000 UTC]
BEFORE YOU CLICK ON THE "I AGREE" BUTTON AT THE END OF THIS DOCUMENT, CAREFULLY READ THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF THIS AGREEMENT. BY CLICKING ON THE "I AGREE" BUTTON, YOU ARE CONSENTING TO BE BOUND BY AND ARE BECOMING A PARTY TO THIS AGREEMENT WITH RESPECT TO THE WORK YOU ARE CURRENTLY SUBMITTING AS WELL AS WITH RESPECT TO WORK YOU HAVE SUBMITTED IN THE PAST AND MAY SUBMIT IN THE FUTURE. IF YOU DO NOT AGREE TO ALL OF THE TERMS OF THIS AGREEMENT, CLICK THE "I DO NOT AGREE" BUTTON AND DO NOT UPLOAD ANY MATERIALS TO THE DEVIANTART SITE(S).... this is what it says at the end on the page. the title is "Submission Policy"

TuxedAaron In reply to Poes-crow [2010-09-04 14:23:21 +0000 UTC]
Okay, I see now. This is actually the Submissions Policy, which you haven't read yet. I have read it, so the site doesn't bother redirecting me to it anymore. Just give it a look-see. It's basically just a set of guidelines to tell you what you can and can't do/should and shouldn't do with regards to art submissions. It also tells you what DA is allowed to get away with in terms of your art submissions as well. Just give it a once over for your own volition. A lot of people end up getting their submissions pulled off the site by the Administrators because a particular picture didn't "follow the rules".

Thank you. Hopefully, this is a project that won't end up taking too terribly long. Like I've admitted before, I tend to get fairly tunnel-visioned on a project. Once I start something, I don't want to shift my focus to anything else until that something is finished. The thing is, writing something on paper (or on-screen as the case may be) is a completely different animal than drawing something or seeing something on TV. You may be able to see something play out in your head in a matter of seconds, but when you're writing it, the pictures are no longer there, so it's up to you to make up for that by providing the thousand words. It can tend to take a while.

TuxedAaron In reply to Poes-crow [2010-09-06 06:18:28 +0000 UTC]
Well, my personal approach is to have a story more or less fully planned out in my head before I start writing it (well, maybe not FULLY fully planned out, but at least planned out enough so that any blanks can easily be filled). This time, I don't have quite as many details filled in as I like, which is why I'm really going to be writing this story out more like a KP mini ep., with a much simpler plot (like "Sick Day" or "Rufus in Show). Still, I do have some very entertaining things planned and even though it might not run as long as some of my recent works, I still think it'll hold up well.

good thinking. I just hope that it comes out as good as you hope it will be. I'm not going to be done anytime soon because I have rewritten it about four times, so I need to think of something that will stick.

TuxedAaron In reply to Poes-crow [2010-09-06 15:00:30 +0000 UTC]
Ah. You know, I'm not entirely sure if this will help you, but when I was taking my Jouranlism course in college, we had one guest speaker who said something that always stuck with me...because it's absolutely true. He said that journalism is 50% what you want to write about and 50% what you think your audience wants to read. And I think that applies to all forms of writing...including fanfics. So my suggestion is, think about what you'd like to see happen in your story and then focus your thoughts on how you'd like to see the characters get there. That might help you formulate a plan.

Well, work's not a place to be lazy either, but when you work night shift, as I do, you take as much sleep as you can get. Not that I like sleeping too much, anyway. I find it cuts into my day and I only have so many hours in it as it is.
Anyway, tomorrow morning, while I've got the day off off, my focus will be on making sure all my files are backed up, then reinstalling my OS, reformatting my hard drive and starting over from scratch. Something my brother recommended to me when I bought my PC last year. He said it's a good idea to do it once a year, kind of a helpful purge whether your computer needs it or not. I was actually going to wait until the week of my birthday to do this (I'm taking the week off for vacation time), but my computer has been acting a little glitch-y lately, so the sooner, the better, it seems in this case. Especially since I bought it over a year ago, so I'm technically overdue. Still, if all goes well, it shouldn't take more than a couple of hours to get everything back up and running.

Well, a friend of mine talked me into another option rather than reformatting (which I probably shouldn't have let happen because I WAS ready to do it - I had everything I needed). It fixed a few things, but not all of them. But maybe when my birthday week rolls around, I'll do the reformatting then.
