I have to be honest. This was NOT the posting I had intended for the first pic of my new art set (I was hoping for something much grander). But this is a birthday present (and already a belated one, at that). It was also something I knew I could bang out relatively quickly. So I just said to myself, "Man, suck it up and just get it done!"The birthday boy in question is who wanted to see a follow up to an earlier pic I did for him, . Both these pics are based on a fanfic he'd like me to write. Unfortunately, the story is so far down my DP timeline that I honestly don't know when I'll be getting it done. So, to pacify him, I decided to honor his request for this pic as a birthday gift.
For those of you who might not be familiar, the gist of this fanfic has Desiree and the ghost dog, Cujo, getting their minds swapped after accidentally interjecting themselves into an experiment conducted by Jack Fenton. This particular pic sees, Desiree trying to keep Cujo from running off with her body, really, the only way she can think of to keep a dog from running off. However, with such a significant size difference, this proves to be MUCH easier said than done.
Naturally, when this idea came to me, I instantly got the familiar image in my head or another famous cartoon dog would occasionally drag a certain someone around at top speed, whenever the need suited him, while the poor child could only cling helplessly for dear life, much as Desiree is doing here. Free pat on the head to anyone who can name the famous duo this image is based on.
(Hint: There's a clue in the Pic Title.)
Well, all in all, while it wasn't the pic I wanted to start out with, I can't say I'm unhappy with how it turned out. I pretty much came out exactly the way I had it pictured in my head, which to me, is ALWAYS a win. Anyway, , this one's for you. Hope it turned out the way you wanted. And for everyone else, I just hope you like what you see, as always.^_^

Well, technically, this hasn't happened yet, because the story hasn't been written yet. But rest assured, when it is, I think it's pretty obvious that Desiree will be getting her body back at the end.^_^

Oh man, the flashbacks to my youth! Gotta say, as bad as Desiree has it now, I actually don't feel more sorry for her than when it happened to Charlie Brown. That poor kid had worst luck than Ron. Here's hoping that new movie sees him getting the happy ending he deserves.

Admittedly, I was thinking more along the lines of Snoopy and Linus, but you get the gist. Still, it's true that Charlie Brown deserved better than he got. It doesn't help that Spider-Man gets treated in much the same way.

Oh yeah, when Snoopy would try to steal Linus's blanket. Come to think of it, I don't believe I've ever seen Charlie Brown walking Snoopy. Snoopy was one of those dogs who was too smart to be put on a leash.
Glad you feel Charlie Brown deserves better too. As for Spider-Man getting the same treatment, well, they're bound to at least do ONE comic series where he has a good life. That's another Spider-Man parallel to Danny Phantom, which is why I think so many people liked that 'Phantom Planet' ended with him having the life HE always deserved.

Well, if memory serves, Charlie Brown DID try walking Snoopy a few times, none of which ended particularly well.
Well, the thing with Spider-Man is, his initial appeal has always been the fact that he was never this granite-chiseled ideal hero. At his core, he's just an average guy. But at the same time, that's part of the problem with how Marvel treats him because they've always felt that the only way to keep him "Average Guy" has always been to hold him down. So no matter how good things get for him, you just KNOW that there's going to be some point, where the writers are going to pull the rug out from under him and take it all away again. And then he's back down at the bottom. If you think about it, it's kind of a twisted version of "The Itsy Bitsy Spider".
Well, I've always compared Danny to Spider-Man anyway, so...

Oh there are SO many hilarious moments that can come from Desiree's body being controlled by a dog. XD Imagine if he saw someone and jumped on them all affectionately. XD Desiree would be mortified if Sidney found out. XD

Well, considering that it's Danny that it happens, to, I was naturally a little confused as to why you said just about anyone would trade places with Sam.
But yeah, I don't think it's much of a spoiler to confirm that Desiree's going to get her body back by the time the story is finished, because that pretty much goes without saying. I mean, come on. The woman's IN LOVE now. She's got a relationship to think about.

Well, they're going to have Sidney, Cujo and Desiree to keep an eye on (although Sidney will more or less be behaving himself...the true challenge will be trying to keep the situation a secret from him). And then, of course, we'll have the Guys in White showing up and making a glorious mess of things, so...

Well, actually there's going to be a scene between Sidney and Desiree (still in Cujo's body). It'll be very sweet, but also quite funny at the end.

Well, first of all, I'm still going to be going with this running gag where anytime Desiree starts getting too affectionate with Sidney, he overheats and passes out. I know it's a spoiler, but it's the heart of the bit.
Well, there's a scene where Sidney takes Desiree (still in Cujo's body) to the park. Desiree is keeping her mouth shut, because she still doesn't want Sidney to know it's her. But then Sidney starts petting Cujo's head and talking about Desiree and how much she means to him. And then he kind of lets it slip that he knows Cujo is really Desiree.
Stunned, Desiree blurts out how he could have possibly known. And Sidney answers that he can see it in her eyes. As breathtaking as the rest of Desiree's body is, Sidney ALWAYS knows her eyes. Desiree can't help but be touched and falls more deeply in love with Sidney than before (if that's even possible). But she can't help but succumb to a certain level of canine instinct as she jumps up and licks Sidney's cheek (asking him to take it in the spirit for which it's intended). Unfortunately, when she does that, Sidney overheats and steam explodes from under the collar of his shirt before he passes out. And Desiree can only stand there and reply, "Seriously?"

Afraid you'll have to leave that to your imagination (or perhaps commission another artist to do it). Because I'm going to consider it one of those "behind the scenes" kind of moments. Moments that you know had to happen somewhere at sometime but that aren't seen by the audience.
