Description Well folks, it's that time of year again.  The time for ghost, goblins, and all other manner of spooky, freaky and just plain weird creatures to be out in force.  However, for Goliath and the Manhattan Clan, it's also the one time of year (outside of the more recent crop of comic book conventions) where they can go out in public and be treated like regular people.  And of course, Elisa is always along for the ride.

As many Gargoyles fans are already aware, Elisa definitely has a thing for the "Disney Princess" theme, when making her costume choices (for the record, anyone who didn't catch her, that one time she was rocking the Princess Jasmine outfit, you DEFINITELY missed out).  And this year is no exception, with Elisa's Princess of choice being Elena of Avalor...specifically the dress Elena wore for the Day of the Dead in the episode, "A Day to Remember".

Of course, while getting changed for their night on the town, Elisa can't resist tossing a little teasing Goliath's way, leaving Goliath a little bewildered on how to proceed.  On the one hand, Elisa's open flirting is a little off-putting, seeing as how Goliath was raised in an age where courtship was approached far more conservatively.  But on the other hand, Goliath's huge paws are much too big and cumbersome for such a delicate task.  As a result, he's having a hard time figuring out just how to comply with Elisa's request without accidentally ripping half her dress off.

This pic comes to us as a request from , who I definitely owe an apology to, as I promised him this pic last year, for around the time of his birthday.  Nevertheless, I'm quite pleased with the result and happy that I was able to get it out in a more timely fashion, THIS year.

So , I hope you like what you see and that it was worth the wait.  Hope everybody else appreciates it just as much, too.  As always, any and all comments are appreciated.

And Happy Halloween! ^_^

Glad you like it. ^_^  To be honest, I'd been meaning to do more Gargoyles stuff for quite a while now, but things just never seemed to go my way on that front.

That was pretty much the reason behind her whole costume choice.  Glad you like it. ^_^

I like it. I think they are cute together.    I was hoping that you have some artwork on G the ghost guy who helps out Danny in your D.P stories but guess just have keep waiting for it like your next story in D.P and K.P to.   Poor Goliath does not know that Elisa is putting moves on him but these two are from very times also no one said love be easy. I know that seeing your art is more fun than Halloween is for kids.    I shall always be happy that took time put this up for it to sweet for words.       Hope my comment makes you smile and know look forward to more things by you in future. Thank you!

Oh, a pic of "G" is coming.  Make no mistake.

Well, Elisa's flirting isn't the only thing putting Goliath off.  The other problem is that his massive paws are too big and cumbersome to handle something as delicate as the zipper on a woman's dress.

Glad you like the pic.  Hoping to have more soon. ^_^

Belle was the FIRST costume she wore.  Jasmine was the second.

Glad you like the pic. ^_^

It actually happened during Greg Weisman's 2009/2010 comic book mini-series, which many fans consider to be the TRUE sequel to the Gargoyles series, as opposed to The Goliath Chronicles.

Now, I will be the absolute first in line to admit that TGC was a flawed work.  It spent a lot of time just going through the motions, with no real overarching story and it really tended to pull a lot of its punches, unlike the original series.  Even the animation quality took a hit, primarily because Disney did NOT do the job themselves, but actually farmed the project out to Nelvana.  So...yah, that whole undertaking was pretty much sent out to die, from Day One.

On the other hand, while Weisman's mini-series (and it IS a mini-series...it's only 12 issues long, so let's call a spade, a spade here, people) did come up with some very good ideas that had the potential to blow the entire Gargoyles mythos wide open (I even appreciated the little bit of drama he threw in on his little sub-plot where Elisa breaks up with Goliath for all of five minutes), in the end, potential was, ultimately, all it was left with. Yes, the main concepts he put forth were very interesting, but every single one of them had no real follow-through, no resolution and ultimately, no payoff (even his accompanying graphic novel, "Gargoyles: Bad Guys", ends, quite literally, in the middle of nowhere). So part of me couldn't help thinking, what was even the POINT? If he was either unable, or unwilling, to commit to going all the way, it felt to me like he would've just been better off leaving well enough alone, instead of just giving us something half-baked.

Now, if you're wondering where to find said comics, well, sadly, they're out of print, now.  I was lucky enough to snap up both collected volumes (as well as the "Bad Guys" graphic novel), right before that happened, but if you DO look for any copies floating around, they'll probably cost an arm and a leg, since they're now officially collector's items.  So your best bet, if you want to check the stories out, would probably be to search for images online.

I'd have to find my copy of the comics.  I need to re-read them again

You have said comics?

Yes.  I got them when I became reacquainted with the cartoon. I saw the first 5 episodes (as the miniseries), but when it became a regular series, I didn't have a VCR back then.  When the series was on Cartoon Disney, and I had a DVR at the time, and got hooked on the series again.

Well then, you were lucky to grab them before they went out of print.  I consider myself lucky, too, though my critique of the overall work still stands.

In the meantime, though, if you'll forgive an utterly shameless plug, perhaps you might be into checking out the Gargoyles fanfic I wrote, "The Path Unfolding".  It uses The Goliath Chronicles as the jumping-off point (I used that, mostly because it provided some actual closure), but there are some references to the comic mini-series, as well.  Not to mention a few other surprises.  I like to believe, if you're a Gargoyles fan, there's something in that story for you to appreciate.

You can either find it here, in the Fanfic Section of my Gallery.  Or you can look for it on fanfiction.net, under my Author Name, Aaron12.  If you choose to read it, hope you like what you see. ^_^
