Description
2nd wip of emma plushmostlikely gonna have to pop open her neck to restuff it
but otherwise its time for the hair
been a bit slow b/c I ran outta stuffin, and was trying to catch satomi up
and advice for improvement, or plushy making in general is greatly apprecaited

I'm critiquing this because I normally have a distain for plushies that aren't made well and avoid them, this however is made BEAUTIFULLY. the details added in articulating the limbs and wings is very delicate and the little designs on the body are very well cut and sewn. the stitching looks very sturdy incase someone wishes to cuddle or toss this cutie around. not to mention the colors are very complimentary and don't create any uneven attraction to any one part. it makes me want to pick it up and give it a good squeeze or let it sit next to a desktop like a stress relief pet plush. I can;t wait to see more beauties like this one.

For starters, i love how well you captured the weavers' anatomy. Its spot on in my opinion and from what Ive seen. Also, im quite impressed with the eye that I can see. Its literally the perfect size and the highlight is extremely cute. Im amazed at how large this plush is, as well as the fact that before you weren't as confident with plushies,but with this plush you would never know you ever doubted yourself. The color is vivid and pops well against the creamy white tones, though I am aware that those are just the characters colors, they just look fantastic in plush form. Im also impressed at how well the secomd set of arms is placed, to me it would have imposed a challenge but it seems you hit the nail on the head! The markings look like they were always there, not sewn in after the fact which is really appealing as well. However, the neck does seem a little thin but youve already pointed out that it may need restuffed and it could also be partly from the camera angle. Nonetheless, this is a gorgeous plush and I feel that youve done the character justice!

could I like-- pop in with a suggestion? for SUPER realistic hair, make a long pom pom with yarn and brush it with a pet brush, then iron or straighten it! Then you can sew it on and it looks rlly cool, I did it for my Bec trade plush and I just love to sit there and stroke it ahah

she is roughly 3 feet tall from the bottom of he front legs toΒ the top of her head, and roughly 18 inches from the base of the neck to her rump
and I am definitely planning on opening commissions once I finish this weaver and her companion
though I may delay to make a smaller vers. of the pattern as well, as the large vers is quite costly ouo"

This looks amazing so far! I would definitely recommend plush beans or even plush wire for the legs. It will help with stability and if you want her to stand it'll definitely help! That way you can lightly stuff the body so it's more cuddly, but have that strong stability in the legs (and the neck and head!) so she is able to stand on her own or still sit nicer with weight on a shelf ;u;

No problem! And same here.. It is a lot of trial and error and all you need to do is reach out to other plushie makers to get some tips! I still have no clue what I am doing half of the time tbh hahah but I haven't plushed in forever!

It is super fun! I want to make my fursona but the bitch has impossible colors to find in minky lol
OH that is another thing - try step away from fleece after you've used it for awhile! Fleece is really nice but it tends to ruin easily after some time and is too stretchy for plushies ;o; You should definitely try minky or cuddle fleece out down the track cos your plushies will be incredibly soft and minky just looks nicer too

yeah, im def considering moving onto minky once I get a bit more cash in pocket (currently using a good deal of it decking out my bunnies and bearded dragon in absolute comfort XD)

Cuddle fleece is just like.. longer better quality fleece ;u; kind of the kind that you see on onesies. Similar to minky but stretchier I think??
