Yes my fellow paleo-nerds, the wait is over.

You may have heard already, but five days ago, Apple TV released two sneak peaks/teasers on their YouTube channel for a new Dinosaur Documentary series titled "Prehistoric Planet". This is huge news, as, ever since the iconic Walking with Dinosaurs first aired in 1999, various producers have sought to emulate it's approach to bringing prehistoric life to the screen. Many great (and some not-so-great) series followed, such as Dinosaur Planet (not to be confused with Planet Dinosaur), When Dinosaurs roamed America, Dinosaur Revolution and Sea Monsters: a prehistoric Adventure, to name a few.
However, while most of these are decent, none of them fully achieve their goals of creating a programme that both entertains and accuratley teaches viewers about it's subjects. Anachronism, anthropomorphism, unfitting slapstick humor, or plain outdated facts are common issues. As a result, dedicated fans have been imagining their own versions of such shows for years. DeviantArt alone is filled with a variety "Walking with Dinosaurs remake"'s and "Walking with Dinosaurs two"'s.
Now, it seems as though our prayers have been answered. If Prehistoric Planet's trailers are any indication, it's producers really put their soul in to produce the best documentary they could. The CGI models and environments are not only a feast for the eyes, but are also highly up to date regarding our current understanding of what dinosaurs were like, feathers and soft tissue included.
And as if all of this wasn't enough, it is narrated by none other than Sir David Frederick Attenborough himself!

According to the Teaser (links below), there will be five episodes, which will be released starting on the twenty-third of May.
