((Oh, I didn't mean FP was innocent in a way that made her harmless, bambi-eyed, and without fault, I'm just saying she lacks experience is all. She was taught that what she was doing at first (being evil) was right, learned that secrecy can hurt others (and by others, I mean herself), and what do you do with the combination of those two things? Overthrow your father, take your place as king, and force everyone to speak their thoughts to the world. She's not really doing it because it just tickles her darn fancy, but because that's the only way she has learned and been taught to deal with stuff.
And I also understand that living in a world where there is no thought left unheard is not only stressful, but may challenge one's sanity, trust, relationships, etc. But FP doesn't know this... *sighs*))

oh boy. FP is such a damaged being. She needs to mature as well if Flinn is to ever return. Finn can't be with someone like that. I hope there is another coup episode only this time it is the people themselves who rebel. she needs to learn the consequences of her actions. if she learns that she's not perfect and can make dump selfish decisions like FINN, then I think this will help tremendously in bringing them back together.

((So far, thankfully for her, the people seem fine with the new rule, as most of them are simple-minded, and the deepest darkest secrets one may have is that they like to use the palace bathroom. However, if an uprising is to occur, it wouldn't surprise me much. I hope she comes to realize the way she is upholding her kingdom is very childish of her.
But then again, Finn and FP are still technically kids, and it's alright for them to make bad calls and judgmental errors. But to this extent? Letting your girlfriend destroy a kingdom just so you can finish a dream, or forcing people to live by your rather untrustworthy experience? That's just a bit too much to label it as teenage stupid.))

((I just finished reading it. Yes, this seems to be a very plausible outcome if AT were to be a more realistic environment, and I support this theory actually very much. However, since in the show, the people are mostly absent-minded, and this would really prevent them from acknowledging the fact that the law is really out of line.
However, I enjoyed reading that chapter of your fanfic, and I believe it was very well-written.

how would we really know that the people are absent minded. we haven't seen much of the Fire Kingdom or its people just glimpses of them like when they were under mind control and still recovering along with dump nobles who lived to agree with their King. I think the way Ursula betrayed FP with that poison drink shows that there are FIRE people who aren't absent minded and I'm sure there's plenty more.
