Finn can mature and all but there are multiple reason on why I just can't see getting back together.
1. FP no longer has feelings for him, so how do you fix that.
2. while it has been told by the AT writers that CB and FP are platonic (whoohoo). CB is still a problem since he seems to be someone who will doesn't want Finn around FP. SO how does this get fixed.
3. FP has become an extremist monster who no sane person should be around. FP believes that society can work without the ability to tell lies and keep secrets, thus she enacts that selfish and extreme law of no secrets and total honesty just so she doesn't get hurt again. Sorry, but that would never work. SO screw you FP for doing what you disliked Finn doing. which is not thinking of the consequences of your actions and how they might hurt others (namely the citizens of the fire kingdom.) thus, she's even worse then Finn because her actions effect people on grand scale unlike his and are way more selfish then what he did because her actions effect the populace of an entire kingdom.
IN conclusion, what can fix the both of them and everything else. somebody tell me.

Extreme hoping by desperate fanships? Perhaps a sudden leap from adolescent behavior to a more mature mental state? Maybe they'll realize that it was just a lapse in judgement that drove them apart, and mistakes will be made. CB is only a problem in the fact that he's a father-figure to FP more so than a rival to Finn. (YES. Platonic-ness ftw) So the only reason he doesn't approve of their relationship I believe is because FP doesn't either. If she did change her mind, I think it wont' be an absolute challenge to change CB's as well. On another note, Finn was able to look past FP's evil when they first met, and continued to do so while they were dating. FP, believe it or not, is innocent in the fact that the sole boundaries and rules are limited to her own personal experiences, since there was no real way for her to gain social knowledge jailed in a lamp all her life. So she believes that everything that happens to her will be the same for everyone around her, and though she is head-strong and powerful, all she really lacks is wisdom.
The only thing I can't give an explanation for will be FP's feelings for Finn. If she really doesn't change her opinion of their relationship not expanding farther than friendship, I can't change that, I suppose. But then again, we'll always have fan-art.

FP not innocent. Her having a bad childhood and what not does not excuse her destroying the lives of countless innocent people through her extreme law of no secrets and total honesty.
maybe you don't see just how damaging this law can be but I do. I even showed a prime example of how that law can destroy an entire persons life in my Adventure Time Fanfiction titled Purpose in its latest chapter. it shows the damage this law can do and how nothing can excuse what she caused even though it was done unintentionally.
I still believe in FLINN and want them back together more then anything, which is why I write my Flinn fanfiction to keep the hope alive. but I'm also open to the fact of just how bad things have become not just with FINN, but with others as well.
