think about it carefully, Finn starts to go through a bout of depression, he and Jake go on an adventure to retrieve something from a super heated cavern, or the bottom of a volcano, or any other hot place that's too hot for any normal person. Finn and Jake go in to said place by any number of people. Princess bubble gum, Ice King, Ect... they get required object, then Finn is somehow conveniently reminded of Flame princess, sits down on rock, ignores Jake while his depression flairs up. after it get's too hot for himself Jake hurries back to (insert character) Then said character gives reason why it's impossibly dangerous for them selves to enter the location, so they decide to go tell Flame Princess the problem, FP then goes to talk with Finn, During their talk FP says "Finn, i wouldn't have come if i didn't Care about you" and that's how that's the most logical way they'd come back together...
