this was one of my favorite books as a kid. This picture is beautiful, and aptly named.

Trees always speak to me, I don't know why. My first wire sculpture was of a tree... This particular one also reminds me of the tree that attemps to smother Schmendrick in The Last Unicorn. I think it's amazing that this photo managed to both evoke feelings for me at this stage in my life and to pull two clear tree images from my childhood. Lovely.

That's awesome - I love the composition, contrast, and just the way the tree looks! The trunk is a very big part of the image, yet it does not take away from it. I like how the upper branches appear to be grabbing something. Very nice work!
