As a recent intern for Riot games I was doing level design and concept. This image is being used with their permission.

Working with the art director, he wanted a concept that was very atlantis like. With romanesque structures, a broken statue, large angular cliffs. I added things like the jungle, the river the waterfalls, etc to the idea. This was my favorite background I did during my time there.

I did a quick sketch in photoshop and then simply started painting adding details as I went. This took about 3 weeks to finish.
