I love the shading and lighting in this pic! I normally don't like Treecko (strange design) but this pic does him some justice. However, the way you've drawn the tree makes it look like that is either a very big Treecko, or a very small tree . I think the leaves at the end of the branch (?) should be made bigger to give a sense of perspective. Since the leaves look so small, then it gives the illusion that Treecko is standing on a tree rather than a tree branch.

I don't like Treecko too.
There is some kind of perspecitive in the picture, but as most this kind of 'art', it's sorta random.
In my opinion leafs are perfect here. Small leafs exists.
You should remeber that such pictures are focused on pokemon, so I allow myself to being rush if comes to do a background. You should also remember this is my experimental style.
There are still few things (some unmentioned by you) which I have to improve in the picture, but I don't have time and eager to do that.
