Hello
This is a very good picture.
I like it because:
-The colors are great. The innocent white of the skin, the strong red of the blood and the cold grey/black of the knife.
-It could be really disgusting, but it isn't. It stays innocent and pure. It's like the blood is the most natural thing ever (and it is) and it just had to be there.
-The position with the knife. Theres something misterious about. Does the knife cut the lips? Did the knife cut the nose? Is she going to cut herself? How did she get hurt? And so on... The picture is persuant and that's why 4.5 stars for impact.
-The different shades of the blood. I mean, there is even blood on the theeths and it's nearly black. The blood on the lips on the contrary is so light and smooth.
-Great technique! It's blurred on the right places (her neck) and it's pin sharp like the knife on other places (4.5 stars for Technique. And that's great. I nearly never give five stars).
-The focus is great. It isn't her face, it's the knife and with the knife the action, the 'operation' in a way.
At this point I normally make a list with things I dislike but I couldn't find anything. Just the pose isn't very unique (just three stars for Originality), I saw it before, but here it doesn't really matter.
It's a great picture and you can be very proud with it.
