I just think that there are a couple of similarities...
I wubbles little Syaoran and Sora. They're sho kewt.
Sora--Main character in Kingdom Hearts
Syaoran--Main character in Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles
Okay, I feel like I need to go do my homework now.
EDIT: They're voiced by the same person in JAPANESE!! Come on. Give it a little thought.

I know that this is an old deviation. One that is even in scraps, and I probably would not have commented on it if it weren't for other recent coments. But I woud like to note that (spoiler) If you and your commenters have finished the Tsubasa series, you would know that Syaoran isen't even his real name.
Also, seeing as how I disagree with you and other people who think that Tsubasa and KH are alike and practically the same. I would like to note as well that, although there may be similarities, the differences between them seperate and difine what originalty they have. There are more differences than similirities and so they are what's most important.
(Spoiler) Besides, When the plot shifted from the goal being clone Syaoran collecting feathers to real Syaoran trying to save sakura from the death seal by going back in time, don't you think that the similarities started to gradually decrease?

Although, the original Syaoran was created before Sora. True, the first Syaoran is different from the one you are referring to in your idea, but they are the same person in a complicated way.

One more thing: An unwilling clone that loses, then later regains his memories, before returning to his source.

But he--well, I won't correct it and take it for what it is, purist or not. I guess there are some similarities, but then again, all main characters usually have similar qualities about them... which I could go on to talk about forever, but I shall resist. Thanks for posting it.

Hah, I'm watching Tokyo Revelations, and when Syaoran's name came up, I thought the subtitles said Sora. Then I found this. What's the betting it's a universal conspiracy, or Syaoran is an older Sora with memory loss and an alias? Now that I think about it, they both have something to do with memories in their journeys. It's more evidence to fuel the fandom! .O.

Well, it's her heart/soul (as they explain later on in the series) that just so happens to hold her memories. It makes sense. A person's heart is filled with the experiences they've had throughout life: memories.
