And in the early morning hours, Haladin mounted his dragon Juban for a lonely flight over the barren, coastal landscape, the general making his last-minute plans to attack and lay seige to the port city of Acre.
He knew that the city would be an important holding place for the Jihad against the Crusaders, and that another, though smaller, Crusader army was rumoured to have possession of a strong white dragon...
He did not know, however, that this morning would be his and Juban's last together...

I told you I'd do a sunrise scene with Hal and Juban. I TOLD YOU.
Teehee. Only took about an hour. `w` So did the other one...with Thom and Idracil. Silly fast. X3 (These meds are making me silly, wheeeeeeee~~~ )

Yeeeaaaaap. And after Hal takes his little morning flight and moves his army to Acre, Thomas and Idracil show up and send his sandy butt into the dirt. Hal is such a cocky individual. He needs a good beating every once in a while. ^^

Aaand, if you follow/know any other parts of my epic about this all, you'll also know that this is their last morning together because, during the seige, Juban is killed by Idracil and Haladin is captured by the knights. *serious nod*

Also shading/pose practice. I wanted a scene flying in front of them, but it was kind of tricky to squeeze Hal in there. Oh, well. Their size ratio is much closer. I've gotten better at that. >.< (My riders used to be so tiny on their dragonic mounts! My dragons simply aren't that huge! ... Save for Shadow, but...y'know. )

And lookies! Stars! owo Just goes to show how early Hal got up for once.
