Same scene as this one [link] , but I like it Just like "what happened at this place some hours ago/in the future" or somethin' like that. It's an adorable place, warm and sunny, right to chill out and rest, so it's made for placin' different characters there and see what it looks like, what everyone would does there.
Hope I was understandable ^^°
Back to the picture, nice pose and perspective, I like the strong wing-hold (dunno what the correct word is, searched in Google for nothing...), eh, how he hold his wings... Yeah.
The way you are colouring and shading is everytime nice to look at <3

Lol, I know, I did mention that in my description. But anyway, thanks! ^^ It is the perfect place for resting, that's for sure.

A little relaxation is good for the heart and mind. I love this guy's tail btw, it adds to the concept he's feeling pretty carefree right now.

I really like the atmosphere in this^^ I would try to lean away from using the grass/leaf/moss brushes though, they look very fake and obvious. Maybe add some natural scribbles in between to help with that or more shades/sizes of leaves/grass. Same goes for the butterflies haha even if you scribbled them on I think they would look better. Less different colors too. I'm in a critiquing mood so I'm just going to keep going lol. The light doesn't look very unified, unless there are two suns in the sky or something, all the rays should be coming down at an angle from the same source. All the different directions not so much. As for the character, as usual I like your shading. The shoulder anatomy looks pretty strange though, it's like it is protruding forward. If I'm standing all relaxed like with my hands in my pockets my shoulder pretty much goes straight down and there isn't a bend until the elbow. If you straightened it up and moved it closer to the neck that would help, right now it is so far from the head it looks like I should be seeing the back of the character even though I'm looking at his side. Also, the feathered wings, and every time you do this I cringe inwardly, wings don't do that ;n; they never do that. no no no no no no. People draw wings like they can curl in over themselves way too often and it drives me up the wall. [link] look at that amazing tutorial. LOOK AT IT AND DRAW ATOMICALLY CORRECT WINGS FROM NOW ON PLEASE. It would be awesome to see more of the popular artists drawing better wings because you are the ones who inspire all the noob artists and when you draw wrong wings they draw wrong wings ;n;

Thanks! ^^ And thank you for the critique! I'll just respond briefly here, but I'll definitely keep what you said in mind. I just found one of my old anatomy books so I'm hoping that'll help with the shoulder thing going on. I also didn't know what you meant on the wings at first but then I remembered. X) They fold more...inwardly, on themselves, rather than like curling around. Do they look like they curl that much in this piece? I'm trying my best, trust me! XD I think I finally got the difference in shape between the primaries and secondaries down. ^^
Ah man, I just discovered and fell in love with those leaf brushes, haha. X) But I see what you mean, especially with the grass.

For the wings, they do look a lot like they've curled. If they folded the longest feathers would be closer to the outside edge, not the rest of the feathers. [link] that's an outside view, but it's the best I could find :/ Wait... I found a bird [link]

Thanks for the links - I think I'm seeing what you mean - the wing tucks and bends at the joints. I was trying to find some refs of a bird wing at the angle I wanted, but didn't see any and ended up using refs kind of like what you sent but trying to turn them in my head, hehe.
