Description
~~~Gradient-shaded commission for StormGryphon of FA.
Thanks, Storm, for having me draw your awesome gryph! This guy was great gryphon practice, gradient-shading practice, and anthro practice!
And heck yes, check out those wings! I'm really happy with how they turned out! I'm really getting a nice-looking style with gradient-shading feathers now.
Constructive criticism is welcome!
Enjoy!
Awesome! What really stands out is his pose. It's original, eye-catching and menacing at the same time.
Thanks! Own it? As in a print? This is a commission of another person's character - you'd have to take it up with them.
They're StormGryphon on FurAffinity. If you don't have an FA, I'll ask them for their e-mail and privately send it to you, only with their permission.
Got it. Been realy busy. About to launch Fuel and trying to set up a cheaper printer. Trying to avoid a business loan if I can.
Awesome! It looks like he is wearing a jacket with a furry collar.
I do wish for more smoother tail (as in the tail curved instead of looking more boxy like what you have in the picture). In the picture, it looks like you just slapped a tail on the back instead of letting the tail curve out of back. (Think of an extended tailbone from the spine. The tailbone is curved into the butt so when lifted, like in the picture, it should look more natural if there is a curve from the base of the spine to the start of the tail.) <---Just a bit of constructive criticism. You don't have to take it, but if you want, you can. I already like the picture already.
Thanks! Yeah, he's a really neat-looking gryph!
Ah, okay, I know what you mean. Like the tail following the spine more smoothly. I tend to like adding exaggerated curves into the tail for action, and I'll definitely start working on some more anatomically-correct ones. ^^
You're welcome!
Oh, good. I thought that I wasn't making any sense, so I kept on explaining. Thankfully, you understand.
