~~~Sketch commission for Zephyrr of FA of the dragoness Zephyrr as a paladin!
Definitely one of my favourite sketches done so far in this batch. I love designing armor for dragons, and this gal was no exception! I love the expression, too - I wanted to capture the noble sense of the paladin at arms. Inshallah we'll be turning this into a full piece in the future!

Historically, they were the best knights under Charlemagne. They've become quite romanticized to represent all the valor and nobility of what a knight is supposed to be, along with being elite warriors.

I was referencing an internet meme that originated from a roleplaying game (that I haven't played) where the primary character was a guy who at one point asked 'what's a Paladin?' despite having interacted with Paladins in the past(including one of his companions who sacrificed himself to keep the universe of that particular game world from collapsing).
