Part 5 of the '2012 Planetary Dragon Series.'
Ah, more silhouetty-sparkly-effects-heavy dragons. ^^ This guy actually has more detail/effects than usual. Eh.
Anyway, Stellar Winds! Stellar Winds are bursts of either neutral or charged gas of the outer layer of a star, kind of like the star is shedding its skin. How much the star 'sheds' depends on the type of the star - hot stars shed more gas, and cooler stars shed less. Massive stars can even shed up to half of their mass! Talk about losing weight! This extreme loss in mass can actually result in massive stars becoming white dwarves rather than going supernova and becoming black holes.
The Stellar Wind is one of the more benevolent aspects of space I've worked with. XD Instead of zapping out Solar System out of existence or violently shredding our planet to mere asteroids, Stellar Winds are not typified by destroying our ozone layer or anything of the type. Instead, because many elements from stars are shed in the release, Stellar Winds actually can enrich the interstellar medium. (People told you space was emptiness? THEY WERE WRONG.) The interstellar medium is a kind of 'dust cloud' that fills the universe, and is made of dust, ice particles, and elements such as silicon... But no oxygen, sorry cosmonauts.
Sparkly Stellar Wind dragon says 'HI! Hugs? Hugs?! I won't swallow you or destroy you! Please, just...just hug me!'

I've been told that by teachers for /years./ Ridiculous.
And INORITE?! Seriously, most things in space just want to take us out behind the woodshed and rend us to pieces...then blow us up. XD
