Last dragon of the '2011 Planetary Dragon Series!!!' (And you guys all thought the Dark Matter Dragon was the last one, haha.)
DEMON STAR DWAGUM, RARARARNOMONOMNOMNOMLKJ;KJ;KJ;KJ;KJ;KAJD;KFJA!
Yup.
The Demon Star of the constellation Perseus, also known as Algol - is derived from the name 'Ras al-Ghul,' which is Arabic for 'Head of the Demon/Ogre/Ghoul/Ghost.' Arabic. Heh, I would know. This is cool, because Algol is right at the place where Perseus (look up his epic Greek story if you don't know) is holding the head of Medusa. Therefore, the literal 'Head of the Ghoul.'
(In Chinese, the name is 'Tseih She,' which means ' Piled up Corpses.' Oh, my Lord. )
It is so called because it is a bright red star that appears to flicker and change brightness! This is because there are actually three stars right by Algol - our friend rotating one of them and dipping out of sight behind the other on a regular basis, thus giving it the appearance of flickering like a tricky demon.
Algol's discovery and observation actually let scientists find out that larger stars evolve faster than smaller stars - like there's a positive exponential relationship between star size and rate of evolving. Algol and its neighbors also possess a magnetic field that is ten-times that of our own Sun, which means their solar flares and uprisings (galactic gas, basically, hahaha) is much more violent and powerful than that of the Sun, and they often release x-ray and even radio signals.
And he would have gotten away with it, too, if it weren't for those meddling kids and their dog!!!
Hahaha. Ghoul. Scooby-Doo. Hahaha. (ILOVESCOOBY-DOO.)
