Description I recently came upon some disturbing information and wanted to make a stamp against feeding kittens to snakes.
Heres the info that pretty much explains everything twilirito94.deviantart.com/art… Be warned about the video footage as I recommend not watching it. Cause you basically get the idea through this stamp.

It's nothing but pure animal cruelty! It's not even good for the snake, they should eat what would be their natural diet.

Actually, let me make something clear. I am in no way saying snake owners are horrible people. I have a dislike for irresponsible owners who either commit the cruelty described and the ones who let their snake free if they can't keep them.( or if they don't make sure their snake is secure and it escapes ) Just look how that effects the environment.

I made this stamp to help the deviant who originally posted the information spread the word of this cruel act.

Stamp Template by Rhabwar-Troll-stock

Feel free to use this stamp and help spread awareness

EDIT- lol, I realized from a comment i have to point out, it would be really ridiculous to just assume that I think snakes are satanic creatures. Never said that once, I don't like most snakes but I never said they were evil. Just to get that point clear with anyone who thinks I am saying such things.Β

-sigh- of course I saw this kind of comment coming eventually. personally I don't like to see any baby animal be killed for any reason. No I'm not much of a fan of snakes and would much rather have a cat, I feel for anything that's helpless and can't fight back.

Lol I'm not that heartless. I admit I like little snakes, just not the ones that get huge.

I agree that idea is creepy.

But, just to let you know, snakes are NOT evil satanic creatures. That is a stereotype I hate more than anything. The calm, non-venomous ones like corn snakes are no more dangerous than a cat or dog.

Well of course, but I don't think they are evil simply because I dislike them. If anything thing is evil, it's the people who commit the act of cruelty.Β

Yeah I don't like it when people feed them live mice and rats. I feel bad for the little animals. ( I love them more than snakes so of course I dislike that practice )Β

Boy am I glad to hear that! Because I'm really sickened by the first comment someone made on this stamp, where pretty much it's OK to feed them rats or chickens, but a CAT?! NO WAY.

I hate when people put animals they like on pedestals, and think nothing of the other animals in the world.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

twilirito94 In reply to Nyaasu [2013-09-24 03:41:10 +0000 UTC]

What I hate even more is when they film the snake eat the animal. I saw this video once, I'll note that it wasn't a snake, but they filmed a poor mouse trying to swim away from their turtle ( I don't know what kind it was, only that they fed it meat) and the turtle ripped that mouse in half. It was just sick!Β

I love many animals in the world, even though I dislike seeing animals kill other animals. I just don't like it when people have pets to where they need to feed them something living. And I dislike the sick enjoyment people have when they watch their pet kill something. Sure my cats have killed small animals, but I don't find it funny, I find it sad. I just don't agree with the " feed it something living " practice. It's just sad when someone buys a little mouse from a store, only for it to die.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Nyaasu In reply to twilirito94 [2013-09-24 04:59:36 +0000 UTC]

I agree. Sometimes a snake will only eat live food, but most of the time, they are fine with eating frozen (then thawed) mice/rats. Those rats die from CO2, which is very painless from what I've heard (some people even use that method to humanely euthanize their pet animals when they can't get them to the vet!), so I prefer when people use that method.

There are people who think live-feeding amuses the snakes, which is not true, snakes do not have a sense of "amusement", but I can forgive them for thinking that they do. x3
Then there are people live-feed because it amuses THEM, which is terrible.
And then we have a very small but very disturbing group which live-feed because it turns them on sexually. ...Those people should not be allowed near ANY ANIMALS, AT ALL.

I understand that all animals need to eat, but I think it's an owner's duty to find a way to feed their pets which is humane for both their pet and the food animal. And anyone who thinks an animal dying is "fun", "funny", or "not that big of a deal" should probably not be allowed to have pets, either.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

twilirito94 In reply to Nyaasu [2013-09-25 00:53:08 +0000 UTC]

Yeah I agree on a way of feeding that is more humane. We don't feed our cats and dogs live animals, so why do people need to feed certain pets like snakes something living? I'm sure the snake is just fine eating something that is already dead. I had a friend with a pet snake who did that rather than have a mouse killed on the spot.

People and their sick amusement makes my stomach turn. I just don't understand why some people find enjoyment in another creature's suffering. I had this awful neighbor once that was just so cruel to animals. And he was a very scary guy, I had pets that disappeared and were poisoned by that freak. He just love to kill and it was so disturbing.

Finding a humane way is always the best choice. If I fed my pet something living, I would feel pretty guilty about it at some point. I love little animals so I just can't imagine myself hurting one. Now if only people can find more humane ways of raising food animals for ourselves and our pets. And I agree, people like that shouldn't have pets at all.Β

Although Bean, if I may, I'm disgusted by the opinion of many who comment on this stamp as though doing it to a kitten is animal cruelty, but to a rat? Totally not a problem.

It is disgusting to me how people put certain animals on "pedestals", just because they like them, but other animals? Fuck 'em.

Disgusting. I hate that attitude immensely.

I know, I had a mouse and the petshop didn't give a fuck about her. They said "she will be snake food". That mouse was wild and savage, she never knew how to clean herself either! It disgusts me how it is BAD to feed a live kitten to a snake, but OK to feed a live rat or mouse.Β

I hate pedestals too. This:

"SHARK FINNING IS OKAY BUT WOLF HUNTING CRUEL!"

"Don't eat a horse! Eat a chicken or something!"

"Rats are icky! They should all be for snakes!"Β

And they say they love animals

AGREED. It makes me furious, and it's not easy to make me furious. It's one of the only things that can get me that riled up.

Its not fair to defend one animal, and then LITERALLY condemn another. Animal cruelty is cruelty, whether it happens to a dog or a mouse. There is no difference.

I have never heard of kittens being fed to snakes before. I agree that snakes should be fed what they would naturally eat in the wild.

twilirito94 In reply to Cammi0 [2013-05-08 03:32:07 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, it's a very rare case and really doesn't happen often. But it is good to make people aware of the possible abuse that could be going on. I personally think it is much healthier to feed the snake it's natural diet. Besides, kittens are far too cute to have such an awful thing done.

The snakes do have to eat. But people need to give them things they would eat in the wild. Such as mice, rats, smaller snakes, frogs, and possibly eggs. :I

twilirito94 In reply to slenderpony12345 [2013-04-16 01:05:46 +0000 UTC]

Yeah. The info giving says that kittens are not wise to give to snakes because it can cause the snake harm. The kitten's claws aren't like rats and mice and would scratch the snake as its swallowed. Natural food is better for any animal and I just can't imagine why people would harm adorable kittens, cause they are meant to bond with people and be loved. Well the snakes are loved by their owners too, but it's hard for me to imagine since I'm not a snake person anyway.

That's just cruelty right there. I like snakes but I also love kitties. And on top of that the cats bond with the humans so its like betraying that cat all together. I'm seriously crying after just reading that article and viewing those images. I couldn't even watch that video.

A rat or even a chicken they don't bond with humans. Kittens do. Thats like feeding your child to the snake. This makes me scared to even give away my kittens because of people like them.

"A rat or even a chicken they don't bond with humans."
Alright, I have never run in screaming that a person is a biased idiot, and it's taking all my strength not to do it to you. I'll have to admit that. xD I'm going to try not to tear your head off for this incredibly wrong, stupid, and unresearched comment, because I'm going to assume that you, like most people on the internet, simply don't know any better, and you deserve to be treated respectfully despite making such insulting and completely incorrect comments.

Rats are amazing as pets. The bond they form with their owner is more like the one a dog forms with its master - being excited when you get home, doing tricks for attention, and in fact, CRAVING human attention as much as any dog or bird. In fact, my RATS crave more love and attention from me than my cats do, and I own two cats at the moment (and live with 3 additional cats that aren't mine).

My rats respond to their names, like my dogs do, and my cats do not.

Scientists have put their intelligence on level with a four-year-old human child.

As for chickens, ever kept one as a pet?
How about you get to know how an animal actually IS before you talk about it like you know what you're talking about.
Chickens as pets are VERY social to humans, and crave attention like any other pet.

ALMOST ANY ANIMAL can be social and loving to a human being.
Just because YOU have not gotten to know one personally doesn't mean it is not social or loving.

And it sickens me that you think that this is absolutely disgusting to do to a cat, but perfectly acceptable to do to a rat or chicken, just because you don't like them as much.

It's really sickening, I still feel sick to my stomach right now. I couldn't even imagine myself watching that video, even if I was the bravest person on earth. I can imagine all of the wonderful moment those kittens could have had with responsible owners.

Same here, I have four kittens that need homes and I am afraid to give them away. Though there is one decent guy who loves kitties and I'm hoping he'll take two of them.

Its sad i'm still crying from that video itself. I mean my god i didn't even get to the snake and I wanted to murder that bitch so bad for what she did. You don't kill an animal you bonded with. They have feelings, i can only imagine how that kitten felt when that owner tossed it in with the snake. (sorry for ranting its just >.< that image is never gonna leave my head)

We mostly give our kittens to friends of friends. People we know will take good care of them. We gave three kittens to my grandpa and now their grown up and just chubby spoiled little brats.

That's okay, let the rant out, it's better than keeping it in If I were there, I would have kicked her ass. Someone like her should never EVER own another pet again in her lifetime! Kitties are for companionship and company that just want you to love them and they'll love you back. Snakes are nothing like that, so I can't imagine someone feeding such a wonderful animal to something like a slimy snake.

That's good! As long as it's people you know and trust, those kitties will be fine And it's good to here them grow up to be fat happy cats I have a couple of cats that were rescued as kittens and one of them grew up to be such a big boy and he's all lovable and a little fat. But he's so cute!

peacefulinvasion In reply to twilirito94 [2013-03-28 00:07:43 +0000 UTC]

People shouldn't even own snakes longer than their arm length. Once a snake that size gets out, some innocent child or pet always ends up as a meal.

I think one got to grow up to be a little too fat and happy. But you know what a fat cat is a sign that the owner feeds them

twilirito94 In reply to peacefulinvasion [2013-03-29 00:20:25 +0000 UTC]

I agree! I don't really like the thought of anyone owning a snake at all, but owning one that gets that big shouldn't be allowed. I heard so many stories of people owning a snake that big and they find it wrapped around their child, and in lots of cases the kid dies. And there are places like Florida where the large snake population is growing rapidly and one key factor is when the owner lets their snake run loose( or the snake escapes ) and they breed with the wild snakes contributing to overpopulation and endangering the people and wildlife.

Yep! Better a fat cat then and very thin and hungry kitty

Yah I mean a snake thats about arm's length and non venomous is fine (garder snakes, corn snakes, those types) but once its big enough to eat your neighbor's dog then that's where I draw the line.

Pithons and boas should be illegal to own period because they can grow to that length.
