I daresay you did. And that pose is as much "her" as is her face. I just love the expressiveness of it, how it portrays her character. She's still a siren, still gorgeous and showing her beauty, but she's also the "harshest" and most withdrawn, and one I'd be most uncomfortable in dealing with. She should also be more careful about eating ice cream.
Really, though, I just love her eyes there. They're mesmerizing even in pencily sketch form.Β

It may've started as accidental, but it ended up improving on what could've been! And well, Aria has been the least favourite because she had the least development - I mean, we didn't even get her name spoken! Aria's also been the most rough and rude, as opposed to the suave domineering seductress Adagio and silly, blunt but vicious Sonata, so it's easier to get attached to the other two! But yes, a siren she is, and she is most mesmerizing here. So, thank you!

Ahaha.. yeah, poor Aria..! Luckily she still has some fans of herself in the fandom..! But yes, what were the staff thinking, not making her name spoken, not even once, in a two-hours-long movie..! They could at least make Sonata say "Try it, Aria, you'll like it" or something..! Ahahaha..! And, well, there is always one in a group..! The rough and rude one, that is.. like, sure she's not rough or rude, but RD is close to that..!

Yep, she does. One of my fellow CQ admins has her as his favourite, even. And yeah, I find it to be a rather unpleasant oversight myself, that she didn't get any mention of her name whatsoever outside of the credits and supplementary materials such as merch. And while there doesn't have to be a rough and rude one, she at least definitely fits the makeup and feeling of the Dazzlings. In the Mane group, several ponies can play that "role" - RD, AJ and Pinkie, we've all seen them cast in that position at various points.
You brought it out here better than anywhere in official stuff, so it's you I have to thank~

Sadly, some things don't have their audience, though sometimes it's because they're doing things wrong, or missing something important. Sadly, often it happens to be presentation and advertising and exposure. And sure.
But no, I'm not exaggerating at all! In the official material, Aria didn't even get to change expression much! So of course, with you drawing her with a nicely different look that brings out her beauty more, you already have a foundation for better stuff. Besides, official material is mostly animation, so it's fluidity first, while here you make the individual picture more striking.

But, for the sake of the fans, they create it with ever so simple design, yet still has the main feature of the character.. that is why it's so easy to draw them..! I suppose they do. Though I do run into some people who are complaining that they aren't getting views and general exposure that they want. But again, their problem is often that what they do is... eh, and that they don't invest their time and effort into advertising themselves, as in, spreading their works around and making themselves seen. But yes, you are an example of another kind of people, which I also am familiar with - and I thank you from the bottom of my heart for sharing your amusement doodles with us, because they're beautiful!
The thing is that, even if the official creators have the capacity to do it, they didn't. Meanwhile, you did the thing and succeeded. If a gun can shoot out five targets at once but doesn't fire, it's the same as if the gun never existed, and the normal gun that takes the targets out instead is the "hero" that did the job. The simplicity is mostly for themselves, to make working with them easier, but they do preserve most of the key things that matter - and it so happens that this is not too hard to work with for fans as well. I tried some of it, and I like it already. And if "accidentally" and "quite acceptable" is what it takes for you to accept this, then yeah, of course, exactly so!~

Oh, I see what you mean..! Yeah, a year ago I too encountered someone complaining how his work isn't visited and appreciated.. ahahah..! I kind of know that feeling, though.. when I first started my career, I too wasn't really valued that much either.. but then as I grow my skills up, my value increases.. ahahaha..! Level up..!
Yeah I know, it's just like the staff of Steven Universe series said, that simplicity not only make everything easy to work with, but also easy to recognize..! Yeah I also get it what you mean with guns there.. If an elixir can heal so many illness but never being put to use, then it's pretty much useless.. but a regular vulnerary that heals so much wound instead is more useful..! Well, maybe the staff has their own reason as to why they're not making a detailed and better version even if it's only for individual pics-.. oh wait, they did.. back in EG:RR..! Although.. it's more of a sketch, actually.. Ahahahaha..!

True, there's that as well - and I'm happy you get more valued now, sweet pirate! I'm starting to understand why you don't want to reveal much about your identity, and I don't mind that at all. But yes, on the point of exposure and views - what I find is that some people who take up art are often confused about their own abilities and talents, and either go all "Imma be a super-original artist!" and put out very much run-of-the-mill, same-old, bland things (character-wise, idea-wise etcetera), or go "I'm good at drawing fanart but it's not something of my own and it's bad and I shouldn't draw fanart!" even though their "original" work happens to fit the outline shown above. People should at least recognize what their actual talents are instead of trying to conform to some external model/view of "what makes an artist".
Thankfully, the FiM and EqG staff didn't use the style choices similar to what SU did, as the latter ends up annoying me pretty often with how it handles things like showing high emotional levels or such. Same goes for Star vs. the Forces of Evil. With FiM and EqG, by this point at least, everything has achieved a kind of harmonious level (fittingly enough, given the FiM thing), where the animation squishes and stretches and other things feel and look good all the time.
Vulnerary, that's a word I haven't seen used much at all. They have the perfect reason of not needing to make many still pictures that need better detail, and they do improve on detail and choose more and better expressions and detail there. It's just that Aria never got much attention from them due to being that "superfluous" character that rounds out the trio but seems to be secondary to the rest of the story and dynamics, even more so than Sonata with her humour.

And, well, I'm talking more about the simplicity technique, to make the characters so easy to recognize, even with other style, or even different form, because the staff cleverly keeping the main features.. rather then the style or the storytelling itself, though.. but yeah, that's about it then..!
And, yes, vulnerary..! With today's technology, it's as easy as pulling a trigger to kill a person, but not as easy to heal one.. so, I value it more..! Anyway, yeah, that's what we've been discussing.. that the staff have a valid reason as to why they don't release detailed still pictures..!
So, while I do get it what you meant by bringing out the Aria character more, but.. still.. saying that I did it "better" than the staff, is.. uhh.. I don't know.. I'm sorry.. I can't accept that~..!

And yes, that's exactly the point - as long as they are able to actually work on their things, it's probably fine - at the very least, that is, as long as they don't make themselves all depressed while doing so. As for talents and skills - true, anyone can figure out most skills, though with talents for them, if you take up the corresponding skill, you can surpass those poor fellows in any case... but yes, actually finding a way to make the skills useful is often the big trick that not everyone can get right! And it's really a sad and painful part of it.
I see what you mean now, then, though I meant exactly things in the style itself rather than storytelling. We arrived at the same point anyway!
