eheheh.. titles are hard.. I'm borrowing yours, NekoJackun ..!Anyway, the signature says it all..! Although, it might say that this is a collab pic of me and COGBrony , but no.. all I did was adding that little key there..!
So~.. this was done out of generosity of The Magnificent COGBrony ..! And.. I don't know what else to say.. everyone already knows who COGBrony is, and there is no denying it that he really is good at what he does..!
PS: Oh, and if you're somehow wondering about why this drawing isn't as interesting as his usual drawings.. well, this was made under my strix supervision like asus, so he was kind of holding himself back.. eheheh..!

Yeah, that's what I've been thinking.. has Shimmer really gotten used to being a human and forgot all the magic she once had mastered, and now she cannot do any magic except for what's been vested into her by the geode?? Aw, man~..
Well, at least it is shown that apparently there is magic in this human world too but it's not a common thing.. so I speculate, if someone of the human world is highly trained in magic, they can do magic at will without the use of a.. uhh.. what would you call those geodes the Seven have and the gems the Sirens had? Activators? Hahahah..!
And, I just went straight and watch the finale.. I skipped a lot scenes, though, but I see what you mean now..! So they trapped Sirens in a limbo.. so how did the sirens "escaped" and ended up in the human world, and had those gems in their possession?

I don't think she forgot the magic, she just cannot do it anymore, seeing as she's no longer horned... except for the parts the geode grants her, as you say. Hm maybe charms or talisman or amulet or so?Β
Iirc they didn't trap the sirens in Limbo, just the Shadow Pony and themselves. The sirens were simply sent off to another dimension that just so happened to be the EG-verse is my guess... or maybe really somewhere else and it took them a while to escape and eventually land in the EG-verse, the ponyverse possibly being unreachable to them?Β
The gems, I am not sure right now, did they have them as Sirens in pony-verse, too? I seem to recall that in Rainbow Rocks, if that is so they just took them with them, heh.

Well, my speculation is that she doesn't forget, just doesn't know how to do magic in this world.. the geode "helps" her in some way, but only for specific types of magic..
Because, as seen in EG1, pony Twilight and the Five were able to activate their magic (ponied up) without the help of any trinkets..! And in EG2 the whole main cast activated their magic by singing..! And then in EG3, Sci-Twi stole the Six's magic using her device..! So that's why, I think it is possible to use magic, if one knows how..! Even Shimmer herself did try to figure out how it works in that one short episode, but failed miserably? Yeah, that's it..!
About the Sirens, well then, it is still undiscovered how they ended up in EG world hundreds of years after they were "sent off".. are they immortal, or traveled through times?
And yes, they do have those gems as Sirens in pony world.. then it raises the question, what would happen should they lose their gems in pony verse? Would they turn into something else, or become "regular" sirens that live under the sea? Hahah.. wow, so many mysteries..!

Why can't the Mane 6, who are supposed to deal with classified stuff in Equestria, shouldn't do it? Is it because it's a dirty black ops stuff..? Oh, and also even the tree of harmony..! It appears that the mane six (and few others like spike too) are "controlled" by that tree, like telling them where to go and what problem they have to deal with.. but then who controls the tree of harmony..? To what standard does the tree "judge" what is right and what is wrong for the ponies..?
Hahah.. well, again, there's so many mysteries to explore~.. hope the Writers would create something like "The Book of Lore of MLP-FiM"..! Ahahaha..!

I thought there was no magic in the world until Sunset brought the element of harmony there... when demon-Shimmer tried to blast the others with that element it somehow ignited the elements inside each of the mane 6 and opened them up to being able to use magic in that human world, too - for Sunset it was wearing and wielding the element for a time. As for SciTwi I think it's as you said, her stealing the magic and then also transforming because of it allows her to wield magic from then on in some form.
Before any of that happened, I don't think that anyone had magic, no matter how skilled they were before in Equestria - looking at you, Sunset ^^-, they just lacked the physical|whatever-we-want-to-call-it capabilities to do so no matter how good they were.
Yeah true that. About the tree, you should watch the s7 finale in its entirety when you get the chance, bit of insight to that there

Ah yes, that's an interesting theory.. there was a discussion about that too, that it was Sunset who "brought" magic to EG world, and before that, no one had magic..!
But something interests me from your sentence there: "..ignited the elements inside each of the mane 6".. because then it would mean they did have magic in them Before Sunset Era, but it was "locked" and the element "unlocked" it..! Sunset used the Sesto Elemento crown, and then when she blasted the Six their elements were activated.. and then they all were able to use magic ever since..! So from that, the tentative conclusion is: There is magic in people, but it needs to be unlocked first before they can use it..!
But there is also cases where the magic comes not from the people themselves, but from other source.. like, in Sirens case it was their gems, and without those gems they cannot do any magic at all (which I'm still curious about -- what would happen should they lose their gems in the pony world?).. Also the Gloriosa case, it was those crystal thingies from deep inside the forest..! And there's also the Juniper case; the magic mirror..! So in this case, the tentative conclusion is: No one has ever had any magic in them, they can only harness it from any magical stuff.. and without it, they won't have any magic at all..!
So from this discussion so far, maybe it's only certain people who have magical potential can activate (Awaken) their magic (Force) given proper treatment..! Others simply don't and can only gain magic by harnessing it from magical stuff.. just like technology, hahah..! Wow, this is getting really interesting..!

I might have eaten horse without being aware of it... I don't know if you heard about this but there was a lasagna scandal some years ago where instead of pork or cow (or whatever it usually is) as advertisedΒ they used horse meat in there. Baffled me at that time, I would've thought horse meat is much more expensive than the former two but they did that for some reason.
