Description
Fire and ice, my favorite elemental opposites. This image was my first serious attempt at using PhotoShop for any sort of drawing project , and I think it turned out rather well. So well in fact, that I decided to make this the new desktop background for my computer.

Time till completion: 5-6 hours
Edit: This image is also my 50th deviation, and the first one to be available as a print. Hooray!

I really enjoy this piece. I have featured a thumb of your work in my journal [link]
I hope that, that is ok with you, if not please note me and I will gladly remove it.
Very nicely done and it looks great on a mug too!

I really like this a lot. I am a huge person when it comes to elements like this and I think this looks really nice. I especially like how they don't look like perfect circles and how they have little shapes to them to give them that feeling of a movement or something like that.

I'm really glad you like it. I was so shocked at how well it turned out since it was my first time actually using PhotoShop for anything other than photo editing.

Yin and Yang, unity in it's duality, perhaps. This makes me think: North/South, Winter/Summer, Non-action/Reaction.
I really like the patterns on each elemental sphere in that they are almost exactly the same, which makes me see the the similarity of these opposing sides in that both are of the same existence in the same place, the void . . .umm, yeah. I'm sorry for babbling.
This is beautiful! I like it very much.

Hmm, maybe I should try drawing out some of those dualities....
You're not babbling at all. I'm glad you see the similarities between the two orbs, I tried to make them resemble each other as much as possible.
And thank you for the great comment. I really value your opinions, and it means a great deal to me that you like it.

*Probably doesn't matter but I need to make a correction
"Non-action/Reaction" should have been Non-action/Action.

Or Action/Reaction. As in Newton's third law of motion, "For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction".

Or perhaps, Einstein's "Theory of General Relativity".
