Sure, she was the long-lost daughter of his adoptive big-brother-more-dad-than-father-was mentor figure, but... she was a good fighter, really ridiculously hot and had made the first move anyway. There was probably a superhero-man-code for this kind of thing - like how his father had kept carrying on with Catwoman and his mother, when he should have been capturing the both of them. And it wasn't like he and Mar'i were really related, anyway.Mar'i smiled playfully.
Damian decided it was better not to tell Dick he was boning his daughter. Not yet. Maybe when they were safely out of projectile range... on her planet.

LOL HAI AU costume for Nightstar/Mar'i Grayson and an AU Nightwing costume for Damian Wayne because I am like totes enchant with the adorable therapyness that is Damian's relationship with Dick and he NEEDS that kind of humanizing influence cuz he's like Jason a lot It is my personal canon that if Damian existed in DCAU, he would have probably ended up being the reason Dick was not talking to Bruce in Beyond and he would have picked up Nightwing's mantle instead.

It's less weird in kingdom come lol since Bruce didn't raise "ibn" and thus he and dick didn't share the familial bond that "damian" and dick have so they're only family by law whereas dick and Damian are family by not just law but also heart

I like this couple. My reasoning is because Mari's father was helped by her mother to overcome his grief and darkness, Mari does the same for Damian. It takes a Tamaranean to lift the robins out of darkness and into light.

I enjoy this costume for her. Damian, in my headcanon, gets one or two before he finally migrates to the full-black Nightwing threads and this is like his in-between one.

DCAU was great fun. I have fond memories of it (and I about died loling over the Justice League Unlimited episode where Superman, Green Lantern, Wonder Woman and Batman were turned into kids). But there was also a lot of wiggle room for fandom shenanigans, especially where the time gap between Batman: The Animated Series and Batman: Beyond was concerned.

lol, I think the last season I saw was the 1st season of Batman Beyond... and I few seasons of Justice League Unlimited. I kind of miss reading the comics, but it gets very expensive...
