"I can still remember the way you smiled...."Don't you remember when you first watched the show, and you fell in love with one of the Mane Six...and you were just so excited to see more of them, and you couldn't wait for the next episode...yeah..i miss that too..
This picture is dedicated to my favorite girl, Fluttershy. I first knew she was my character when i heard her say "way to go" in the episode "Sonic Rainboom" just the way she said it, and her adorable expression. Ah i wish i could go back to those days, when the fandom was so inspired and awesome. Unfortunately things always die down.....BUT that doesn't keep me from drawing ponies at all, i still love them, and i always will.

I don't see MLP or its fan community disappearing, or even losing its spirit, even when the show eventually concludes. It's pretty much established as a "grassroots" fandom now within the larger sphere of animation fandom, akin to Star Trek inside the sci-fi universe. The biggest difference is that Trekkers took decades/years to get organized, with only snail-mailed, mimeographed fanzines and small-scale conventions, whereas the instantaneous communication of the Net birthed bronies and meet-ups within months/weeks/days.
Flutters is my favorite too, followed by Dash, Twi, Rarity, AJ, and Pinkie, all within a hair's width of each other. I relate to 'Shy's introversion, Twi's love of books, and Rarity's drive to create. And I love the others just for them being extroverted, athletic, and cheerful, bringing balaonce to the personality scales. Above all, I keep in mind the virtues they embody, and their Elements are a reminder to me to be kind and understanding, exercise good values, and brighten my corner of the world...and to give myself love as I would to others. All good for the ol' mental health.
Oh, I almost forgot; your drawing is beautiful! I hope Fluttershy's tears are ones of happiness, since I detect a small, shy smile in there. I'd give her a whopping great big snuggle for even the faintest of reasons. (Like, say... "It's Thursday! I had cornflakes for breakfast! Air is composed of oxygen and nitrogen! Look, a ladybug! All good excuses for hugs!")

This looks just amazing. The colors are so bright and that creates the contrast from emotions in the picture which gives picture some kind of bittersweet feeling.

Really sweet, although sad, image of her. I first fell in love with Twilight Sparkle the moment I first saw her in the very first episode of the very first season, although my character befits Applejack most of all. Twilight is Best Pony to me, but Applejack is my most favourite pony.

Season One Episode One and Two was when she captured my heart forever.

She's innocent, and I'm . . . well, like Discord. Different.
So if someone were to hurt someone innocent and kind as her. . . well imagine how I'd feel.

for me my favourite pony will always be Dashie, cuz i liked her from the first moment I saw her. especially as I saw the sonic rainboom and that, because of her all of the mane 6 got their Cutie Mark. also I see a few very good PMV`s of her (for example Dash`s Determination: www.youtube.com/watch?v=mC7Bl8… ) and, of course, that she is 20% cooler than anypony

Haha, before I started to watch show, I alredy liked Rainbow Dash for her design. I was so excited when I finally watched first episode and was able to see her! She is just like me xD I assotiate myself with her.

For me it was Fluttershy, don't know when exactly, but I know it was because of her love for animals and the fact that she's super cute. Second place goes for Rarity cause she's an awesome drama queen and Applejack deserves a special mention because she doesn't get nearly as much love as she deserves.

When I was introduced to the show, it was between season 1 and season 2. I saw the shows on YouTube in broadcast order. I was hooked by about episode 4. But the moment when something went SNAP and the realization that the show and its characters had worked their way all the way down into my coal-black icy heart...
"Winter Wrap-Up", when Twilight is singing her need-to-fit-in stanza at the end of the first act. 5:23 through 6:10. Anyone who isn't in love with Twilight by then, if just for the moment, has no soul. It was as the three spotlights faded that the little light in my head came on, lighting up the sign that said "This show is SPECIAL".
Mind you, those aren't the strongest emotional moments in the show. The "love conquers all" moment at the end of Canterlot Wedding 2 (visuals + music were a knockout punch), followed by "Love Is In Bloom" (a great way to dissipate the tension), Celestia's Ballad in Magical Mystery Cure (because I had been waiting for a Celestia song for WAY too long), and all of "Smile Smile Smile".
If you're seeing a theme of "the music pushes it over the edge", you're right.
Daniel Ingram, Steffan Andrews and Will Anderson are the unsung heroes of the show.

I don't wanna get any hate for this, but when I saw AJ for the first time, and heard the "Yeeeee-haaawwww!" I knew THAT was a pony I could connect to and love. And then the way she just bucked all those apples off the tree and posed at the end! She just kept getting cooler to me. I loved her immediate friendly attitude. :3

Thought season four was fun and while I didn't really like how it ended I liked getting there.
Can't wait to see next season.

First episode I saw was when I fell in love.
'Green is Not Your Color' the moment I fell in love with Fluttershy and Rarity.

I loved Twilight Sparkle at the first episode of the first season, the first ever episode I watched. She was a lonely egghead like me, and she was a kindred soul to me.

Die down? I would hardly go so far as to say the fandom 'died down'. Perhaps we have calmed a bit since we are now pretty much established and can slowly stop being fierce warriors fighting against preconceptions. But in no way has the fandom gotten any less inspired or active.
Anyway, to your question: For me it really was the first episode. At first i was very interested in Twilight, but then Fluttershy popped up in the screen with her singing birds. It took me just seconds. I saw her, I heard her speak, I saw how she interacted with Twilight. At that moment I was like: "... you know Twi, im sorry, but this one is my new favorite now."
Never changed my opinion. I love her so much and with every new episode, it just deepens.

I actually saw a clip of Rarity girl on youtube -- my brother and I were actually making fun of the show, but I secretly just loved her. That night I watched the entire seasons 1 and 2 (I fell in love with the show before S3 was out), and I just smiled and giggled every time Rarity came on. I loved it. This show has helped me get through some pretty tough times, and anytime I was feeling down, I would always watch a Rarity-centered episode and feel fine. Rarity will always, to me, be the best pony in the entire show.

Well, it's really a matter of personal perspective... Things haven't died down at all, and in fact grew in magnitude and frequency. It's just that back then, it was a lot less spread-out and more close-knit; in a way, imagine one room with a thousand people inside and compare it to several dozen different rooms with three thousand; every room is bound to be quieter, even the bigger ones, than the first. Ponies only keep growing, they just outgrew the "small-family" stage and branched out impressively, far and wide. It's still as inspired and awesome, trust me, as someone who watches over four thousand artists and counting.
And personally, I still can't wait for the next episode, just like in the past. Same goes for more news, conventions etcetera. It could possibly be that the appeal of a great new thing that was pony back then wore off and it isn't "new" anymore, though no less great. You got used to it. I got used to it too. I just never lost the feeling for it, and I don't think I ever will, together with the appreciation of its greatness.
I'm happy you keep on drawing ponies, and hope you'll keep at it. It's a rather fine Shy indeed.
As for me, it was clear to me that Twilight was the closest to my heart from the start. But what really sealed it for me was her "yes" barrage in The Cutie Mark Chronicles. Since then, I can well and truly say I love Twily and only keep on growing fonder of her with each episode. I came to love the others as well, but they never match the liking I have of Twi.

I think it is quite a tribute to your girl Fluttershy that you would make this for her, bro. I think it really expresses how you feel and I love to see that dedication for a character somebody is passionate about. I haven't gotten to that episode just yet, but I am looking forward to it even more now
