Description Chapter 2
Dark Nightmare

DO NOT STEAL PLEASE! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!

Jenny slowly opened her metal eyes. Everything seemed blurry. She couldn’t see a thing.
She slowly sat up and groaned. She felt like she was in so much pain. Jenny rubbed her eyes and looked around. Slowly the visions around her slowly came together as the eyesight was restored. Her bright eyes scanned the room. Her metal head was throbbing with pain.
It was a small box room. It had no light and it was incredibly dim. There was nothing there… Well except a weak looking wooden door opposite her.
Jenny clutched her head in agony. But…she was a robot. She could feel pain sure…but not pain that was so severe and unbearable. Jenny looked around once more. She was certain she didn’t go into sleep mode here.
Only one question echoed in the teenage robots metal brain – What was going on?
She shook her head as she slowly stood up and steadied herself on the nearest wall. She felt so light headed. Like her thoughts were getting drained out of her mind. She had never felt like this before.
It was just weird.
None of this added up.
She slowly looked over at the door. She was pretty sure a villain had locked her in here. But if they went through all of the trouble of locking her in this stuffy room, why would they install suck a weak looking door? Jenny staggered over to the door and stopped.
She reached out and slowly turned the handle.
She tried again.
And again, using a bit more of her strength.
It was locked.
Jenny cocked an eyebrow before a smug grin grew onto her face.
“Very intimidating.” She said sarcastically. “But it’s no match for the unbeatable XJ-9!” She boasted as she activated her laser limb. She stepped back a few spaces. She narrowed her eyes as she aimed at the middle of the door. She counted to three before she shot out an electric blue laser beam.
As soon as the beam hit the door it bounced back and hit her in the chest immeidiently knocking her to the cold hard floor.
Jenny groaned as she rubbed her cold forehead. She looked back at the door with a puzzled expression on her face.
“But its wood…” She whispered to herself. “How can it do that?” Jenny rolled her eyes before her puzzled expression changed to a look of frustration. “Alright, Who’s behind this?!” She asked angrily. She scowled as she stood up and advanced towards the door and knocked viciously. “You better let me out or things are going to turn nasty!” Jenny snapped as she kicked the door with her blue metallic boot.
No answer. Jenny sighed as she began to walk alongside the wall. She skimmed her robotic fingers on the wall as she kept on walking.
“There’s got to be a weak spot around here somewhere…” She mumbled to herself as she stopped in one corner on the room and started to stroke the cold wall.
Jenny sighed as she sat down, still facing the corner. “That’s strange…” She mumbled to herself. She studied the corner. There was no dust, No spiders, no cobwebs or nothing.
“This just doesn’t add up…” Jenny whispered to herself as she stood up and turned around.
She froze.
There was a small hole in the middle of the floor no bigger than the sole of her boot.
She cautiously approached the hole and kneeled down next to it. She peered inside. It was pitch black. She couldn’t see a thing inside.
She was sure this wasn’t here before……
“H...Hello?” Jenny called.
No answer.
Jenny sighed as she rolled her eyes. “As if anyone’s going to answer me…” She mumbled.
She looked back over at the door as she felt something tickling her hand.
Jenny froze as she looked down slowly.
There was a inky black tentacle lightly coiling around her wrist.
Jenny giggled softly. “Hello there.” She said. She looked down at the hole. That was where the tentacle was coming from… At that moment another vine crept up out on the inky black hole and coiled around Jenny’s other pale wrist.
Jenny smiled. “Oh, you have a little friend!” Jenny giggled.
Suddenly the vines constricted. Jenny gasped as the vines lifted her high up off of the ground and the room started to increase in its size.
“Let go!” Jenny screamed as she yanked her arms, struggling to free herself from the unknown monsters grip. Two more jet black tentacles shot up. One constricted around her small neck while the other constricted around her waist.
Jenny kicked her legs franticly before another tentacle wrapped tightly around her skinny legs.
Jenny screamed as an everlasting army of tentacles kept shooting up out of the hole and coiling around different parts of her limp body. Every time she tried to scream and the more she struggled the tighter the tentacles would constrict around her body.
She soon felt oily tears trickling down her metal cheeks as the hole below her grew in size and turned to a black hole, struggling to pull her in. Jenny screamed as the tentacles finally loosened. She shook her head wildly as the sinister black hole grew…and grew until it took up the whole space of the newly expanded floor.
The tentacles immeidiently let go of her and she fell.
She tried to activate her pigtail turbos so she could fly away, but no matter how much she tried, they just didn’t want to work.
She fell down into the shadowy depths of the black hole and it was obvious it didn’t want to spare her.
She franticly struggled to see through the darkness but it was hopeless.
Just completely hopeless.
Jenny felt her tears trickle down her cheeks as she continued to tumble down into the murky depths of the unknown.
Suddenly an immense pain struck her face like a sharp arrow.
She felt something etching into her metal skin as she felt something forcing itself through her metal gums.
She imeidiently clamped her mouth shut but screamed with pain as the two things growing in her mouth pierced her sky blue tongue.
She sobbed as she heard a distant demonical cackle and…
“JENNY!”
Jenny immeidiently stopped crying.
“JENNY!”
Jenny opened her eyes to see her best friend Brad looking down at her and gently shaking her shoulders.
He stopped and grinned as his robot friend awoke.
“Is she awake yet Brad?” Came a fed up voice. Jenny looked over to where the voice was coming from to see Tuck by the side of her bed playing with his Johnny zoom action figure.
“Shh!” Brad scolded. “Yes.” She said while rolling his eyes. He looked back at Jenny and smiled. Jenny sat up and looked around.
She was in her room.
Her wonderful, Wonderful room. But even that couldn’t make her smile. She felt like nothing could.
She looked back at Tuck. He was looking at her now. His eyes wide with concern. “Were you crying Jen?” He asked.
Jenny ignored him and looked at Brad. His smile had faded and it was so obvious he was deeply concerned about his best friend.
“You ok Jen?” He asked.
Jenny didn’t answer. “Brad?” She whispered.
Brad frowned as he saw the oily tears well in Jenny’s eyes.
“You ok?” he repeated.
Jenny nodded slowly but could help but throw herself at Brad.
She sobbed into his shirt.
Tuck giggled. Brad blushed so his cheeks turned the same colour as his red hair. He reached around the sobbing robot and patted Jenny’s metal back.
“So…What’s up?” He asked.
Jenny pulled away from Brad. “It was horrible!” She wept. “I thought I’d never escape and I just kept falling and and…”
Brad covered Jenny’s mouth with one hand. “Whoa, Whoa…” He interrupted. “Speak slower!”
He pulled his hand away as Jenny opened her mouth to continue. She hesitated. Then narrowed her eyes. “How did you get in?”
“Well duh…You have a window…” Tuck replied while rolling his eyes.
Jenny scowled.
Brad giggled nervously as his cheeks burnt a fiery red. “So what happened?” He repeated while changing the subject.
“Just a Nightmare.” Jenny sniffed.
Brad chuckled. “A nightmare? That’s all?”
Jenny scowled before she threw a stuffed bear at Brads face. Brad squealed.
“ok,ok I’m sorry!” He chuckled.
“Shut up!” Jenny snapped.
“Yeah shut up Brad! Nightmares are scary!” Tuck joined in.
Brad rolled his eyes. “Yeah when you’re dreaming about being on a Ferris wheel…” Brad answered sarcastically.
Brad picked up the stuffed bear and grinned as he noticed a small army of teddy bears in the corner of the room.
“Whoa Jen! Could you have enough Teddy bears?” He chuckled.
“Could you be less annoying…” Jenny mumbled.
“No.” Brad replied as he placed the bear next to Jenny.
Jenny rolled her eyes before she wiped away her oily tears.
Brad looked down at his shirt and frowned. “You got oil all over my shirt…” Brad complained. Tuck grinned. “Get used to it…Its one of the many problems with married life…” He mumbled.
Brad shot tuck an angry look.
“I’m sorry Brad…Its just I’ve never been so scared in my entire life…” Jenny replied as she straightened the teddy next to her.
Brad grinned as he reached over and patted Jenny’s back.
“Why don’t you tell us about it?” He suggested.
Jenny took a deep breath. “I was in a small room…I got trapped by some…Tentacles…and I was dropped into a black hole.” Jenny explained vaguely.
Brad and Tuck burst out laughing.
Jenny scowled as she shoved Brad off the edge of her bed.
He yelped in pain as he hit the carpeted floor with a thud.
He groaned as he forced himself to sit up. Jenny’s eyes widened. “Oh my god, sorry Brad! I forgot about my powers…” She sighed.
Brad gave her a thumbs up. “Nah… I…I’m good…” He croaked.
Tuck chuckled.
Jenny kicked back the covers and swung her legs out of the side of her bed. She slowly stood up.
She approached her groaning hand and held out her hand. Brad grinned as he took her hand and let her pull him up.
Jenny looked down at their hands and rolled her eyes. “You can let go of my hand now…” Jenny sighed. Brad blushed as he snatched his hand away quickly.
Tuck chuckled as he made kissing noises.
Jenny and Brad both ignored him as they both sat down on the edge of Jenny’s bed.
Jenny wiped a tear from her eye. Brad frowned. “Jen, everyone has nightmares, it’s perfectly natural.” Brad explained.
“Not if you’re a scary freaky teenage robot though.” Tuck interrupted.
“That’s the point!” Said Jenny. “Mom took my dream chip out ages ago remember, when it malfunctioned, remember?”
“That’s right!” He gasped.
“Well your mom must’ve put it back in.” Said Tuck, not looking up from his Johnny Zoom action figure.
Jenny rolled her eyes. “I think I would remember.” Jenny said. She looked down at her robotic hands and frowned. “This just doesn’t add up guys…”
“Here, turn around and open the back of your head, I’ll see if the chips in there.” Brad said.
Jenny giggled nervously as she immeidiently edged away from Brad. “No, No…” She said quickly as she remembered the time when Brad tried to open the cap on his soda bottle, or the time when he accidently broke her left pigtail When he tried to ‘straighten’ it….In simple words, Brad definitely wasn’t the sharpest knife in the drawer and whenever he would offer to help you, the best thing to say is no….If you don’t want to get hurt…
“I’ll just ask Sheldon when I next see him.” Jenny added.
Brad rolled his eyes. “I guess I’m not mechanically inclined enough…” He said sarcastically as he tried to stab a fly that was resting on his knee with a dusty compass that he had found in his pocket.
Jenny reached over and took the compass out of his hand and swept the fly away with the other.
Brad watched the fly dart out of the window. He looked back at Jenny and grinned. “Thanks Jen.” He grinned. “But can I have the compass back? I need it for school.”
Jenny gasped.”Crikey!”
“What?” Brad and Tuck asked in unison.
“School – we’re late!”
“What will we do? We won’t get there in time! Even if we use my Johnny zoom bike outside!” Tuck panicked.
Brad swung his backpack over his shoulders. “We’ll have to get going then.” He said.
“Guys!” She snapped.
Brad and Tuck looked at Jenny.
Jenny looked at them both before she took a deep breath and metallic butterfly wings sprouted from her back.
Brad whooped as he grabbed Jenny’s hand.
“Uh are you sure this is safe?” Tuck asked as he slowly reached up and gripped Jenny’s other hand.
Jenny didn’t answer. She had already flown through the roof.
“AHHHHHHHHHHHH!” Tuck screamed as they flew towards the school.
