Description
Commision for a friend.Belongs to him and stuff, so no stealing.
Means a hell of a lot this .. not drawn or anything for a good number of months.
He suggested this to help me get back into drawing .. and it kinda worked, spent about 6 hours over the weekend on it. No idea how many shape layers!
He didnt give a spec, so i went with the flow. Very pleased how it came out.
He's very pleased and is going to use it for all sorts of things.

I really like how intricate this is, and how the random shapes really work together. Also, I like how in the bottom set of wings, the design kind of looks like Native American style hawk wings. I just really like the whole thing, great job, especially since it's the first one you've done in awhile!

Yeah i've been pretty ... rubbish (XD!) on my art front recently. Life and shit like it has been catching up on me and I've just not had the time I would want to do anything.
Doing this for my friend was such a relief and also gave me a bit of a boost to think it was going to be used for something commercial as well as something personal.
As to the random shapes theres alot of things in there that mean things but they take alot to see! There is a spider web for example, and the head of a monster from tremors and also tear drops and waves.
Not all intentional but some were!

I went back at looked at the design again, and forgot to say it reminds me of one of those kaleidoscopes. It would be cool to hold it up to a mirror and see how it would play out. Also, I love tremors, did you ever see any of them after the first one?

Tremors is my fave film! I have all 4 of them on DVD and I keep threatening to make my friend watch them all one weekend XD!
Hopefully life is going to sort itself out, new year and all that, I'm looking forward to getting back on track and enjoying myself again.
That is an interesting concept! Not too sure how I would make it into a kaleidoscope tho, but it certainly would be fun to try, not sure I could be bothered to cut out all the shapes tho!

NO WAY! I didn't even know they made a fourth one! Wow, I feel out of the loop. You should indeed make your friend watch them, even if they need to be tied to a chair and their eyelids taped back, those are some awesome movies.

Well he liked the first one for comedy value and he knows he's gona watch the others at some point! It's just finding the time to watch them heehee.
The 4th is a prequel, you know you need to see it!

He's already gona have it put on a shirt and he's thinking of some new names for his album too now
"clusterfuck" was the best working title that was thrown about
