L from Death Note (although it's kinda hard to tell. >.< )L looks like a monkey. Ew. *pokes monkey!L* And his hair looks as though it's been cut out of some sort of bizarre stationary and glued on. >.< His arms are strange because I really had no idea what I was doing with them.
Coloring was because I was lazy and didn't want to think, so I just filled in a layer underneath the lineart and dodged, darkened, and used hue/saturation/lightness circle thing like crazy. Yep. Oh, and lineart was done in painter.

aww you shouldn't be so hard on yourself- I actually really really like this piece! Even if you do think the hair or coloring seems kind of off, that's just what makes it cooler, overall the lighting and overall effect just compliment it more!^^ And so what if he's a little monkeyish...he is L afterall, some people base all their fanart on the fact that he makes them think of a monkey- but really, I think you did a great job on the face too. ^^ So yeah, definitly a fav! I think its awesome!

I love how you drew him! (and it's okie if he looks a trifle like a monkey here, 'cause, well, you have to admit that he does anyway...^x^) I like the high contrast and the shading; it's all very effective and he possesses that semi-possessed look he always seems to sport. ^-^ This has certainly got a very cool Death Note-esque feel to it~ great job!
