Description ...I feel like I've been doing too much fanart lately, and it's time to get back to work on my setting more and more. This time around? I decided once again to not use any outlines. I'm also finally giving Rain the uplift she deserves from her old mandrake design you can find here: High Risk of Precipitation

Rain is a pretty important figure in the setting, at least when it comes to the Mimin War arc and onwards. The basic gist of it? She's a Vampiric Mandrake who's pretty far from home and is "stranded" just like Hunter Star in the Realm of Materia. The two of them would team up and eventually they would find Captain PiK and even fight back against the Mimin Armada. Rain would refuse to return home after this first conflict is finished and sort of "retire" her days as a commander on the farm that Hunter lives on. However, with the looming threat of war on the horizon once more she would always find herself as "Special Operations" and as a "Trueshot" assassin. Ruining enemy vehicles and making sure enemy commanders keep their heads down.

If there's ever a war going on? She's bound to be supporting Hunter and the Boars of War mercenaries. She doesn't talk about her past or her species much, she finds it to be better that way. Even when asked about returning home, she grows distant on the topic and believes she's found home on the battlefield. Hunter worries for her health quite a bit.

Other than that? I don't got much else to say! I just wanted to do a quick redesign! Have a good one!

Disclaimer and Copyright: These characters involved, and the artwork belongs to me, TwistedHensley. The Skin to Scales Universe also belongs to me there, TwistedHensley... You get the drill. I want to point out that this is an Epic Dark Fantasy setting with a lot of mythological and religious tones and that there is no real-life connection to any of these events, religions, characters and it is fully, grounded, in fantasy. There is no copyright infringement also intended to other forms of media as Skin to Scales is meant to be its own thing and something I've been working on for a very long time. This is the same setting where faith is a massive part of the magic system, and it is usually meant to have a very bright and colorful art style to help balance the tone.

Other Disclaimer: You are allowed to share my artwork as long as I am credited, but do not upload it anywhere else, edit it and or mark it as your own if that wasn't common sense.

Fun Fact: Rain is the most redesigned character in my setting. She doesn't have any special "transformations", none of that. She is also the "oldest" character I've made dating back over 12 years ago. She went from a funny kobold to a mandrake, to a kobold again- but this time labeled as an aquatic fruit kobold, and then back to a mandrake, and finally settling on a vampiric mandrake. I find her a whole lot of fun as she's quite the staple of how far I've come with characters, writing, etc. Her personality also changed too from cutesy character to a generic assassin to being angry all the time, to being a straightman for hunter's antics, to simply being much more "stern", confident, and a pillar of strength.
