Hee-Ho howdy everyone! Before anything more is said, I want to get this out of the way: I did not write the description of the character, that belongs to my friend MerMaya over on Discord. This is a reference sheet for their character, Amy. Usually, I have a lot more text here, but unfortunately, I do not. The original transcript of the text can be found here:

"The end result of a mad scientist's quest to play God, Amy is a happy-go-lucky mermaid who loves to play jokes and protect the people she loves. Once a human working for an organization known as Angel-Tech, she, along with several other scientists, were all kidnapped and forcefully transformed by one of their co-workers by the name of Grimbly, and were dumped into the ocean to populate it. Amy, along with every other victim, were wiped of their memories and were implanted with brand new ones.

This turned Amy from a cold and calculating scientist into a cheerful, playful woman. However, memory alteration isn't perfect, and eventually Amy recalled the horrors that were set upon her. Despite the painful experience, she is generally much happier being a free spirit compared to being cooped up in a laboratory.

Yet, she has moments of flipping back to her previous self and becoming cold, yet incredibly brilliant. Her new form also made her magically gifted, and she is now skilled in bard magic. Along with giving buffs to allies, she is also able to cast a semi-permanent flight spell to escape the confines of water..."

I want to point out that this is an Epic Dark Fantasy setting with a lot of mythological and religious tones and that there is no real-life connection to any of these events, religions, characters and it is fully, grounded, in fantasy. There is no copyright infringement also intended to other forms of media as Skin to Scales is meant to be its own thing and something I've been working on for a very long time. This is the same setting where faith is a massive part of the magic system. Now the character themselves despite being in the Skin to Scales setting is technically not owned by me and is instead created by my friend MerMaya. I'm not entirely sure where that falls in the copyright of course, but it is there for sure. I suppose a quick disclaimer as I also did not make the design outside of the armor set that is used on the right. Simply making a reference sheet for somebody I know. I'll stop rambling now as I'm not entirely sure where else to take this.
