Description TVR 'Hydra'.

Looks like I've gone back to designing TVRs.
Well, *they're* not doing much. *Somebody* has to.

This had actually been a while in the making, a combination of random 'bored' sketches I'd done in class, some of which when combined ended up giving a decent-looking full car (this is how most of my made-up cars come together).
It's mostly a mix of inspiration from various real TVRs - mostly typhon, tuscan, sagaris and t350 - and my own imagination, just trying to keep the design recognisable as a TVR.
I love how the front came out; the side is only let down by the way it seems to arc up a bit on the bottom just in front of the rear wheel (not meant to - I only noticed this after scanning...)
The back came out all right, considering how many different designs I tried for it. I put in many shapes for the lights and bottom half, in the end this seemed to work best.

Now come on TVR, stop piddling around charging people ten times what their car cost them just to put a corvette engine in it - go back to what you did so well before and make fast cars with unusual/different/awesome styling for an affordable price. Here's one design to get you started.

Nice work dude, good work on the different views, for some reason I REALLY like the front view, cause it has a certain perspective in it that catches my attention^^ Ofcourse the other 2 views look great too

Thanks man !

Most of the time I doodle made-up cars they look awful and I scribble them out, but occasionally (like the front view of this one) I surprise myself and think 'oh... that actually looks quite good!' - I do think this is one of my best made-up designs so far.
I'm currently in the mood to do a few more; I've done two more since this TVR and am now working on a fourth (a Jaguar), there should be a couple more after that too... half-finished designs I told myself I would get round to doing properly one day.

Good to see your already planning forward, great way to avoid the times that you don't know what to draw^^

That's a nice little curve at the end.

Very nice. Looks like all the other TVRs, but with a little Dodge Viper mixed in.

Thank you!

Hmm that's a good point actually - the Viper hadn't come to mind at all when designing and drawing the car; though now you mention it, I can see some resemblance - mostly in the side view.

Yeah, the side view is what caught my attention. It sort of... dips down in the middle, like Vipers do. Very nice shading, btw

I'm not familiar with the models that TVR is offering but this looks really nice. It is a TVR for sure but has some really nice touches - the triangles on the front remind me of the Sesto Elemento and rear looks like Lotus LFA done in a good way Send them that sketch and demand money or gold.

Thanks

Well, TVR isn't offering anything at the moment, they haven't made any new cars for a few years. Their latest plan is, you send them your current TVR, they put a corvette engine in it and give it a general overhaul, ad charge you something like £40,000 for the job.
Or, you can buy a 'new old' TVR where basically they buy the car (second hand of course...) do the same work to it, then charge you nearer £100,000.

Personally I think they're dreaming - first because said cars that you send them (or they source for you) are cars you can buy, in very good condition, for around £10,000-20,000 (a little more for the Sagaris), and most TVR owners would be dead against putting a Corvette engine in the car. Having to pay 5 times what your car is worth to do so just seems a little delusional.

Yeah that's a bit weird for them to do that ... TVRs are pretty unique so if they could show something fresh and futuristic, I'm sure a lot of buyers would show up. Even in video games it was cool - had it in Asphalt Urban GT on the DS
