Description
First of 7 photos of my finished Life-sized Darth Maul statue.

He's made firstly from a frame made from thin wire fencing; then stuffed with scrap paper and cardboard for a bit of weight. The whole body was then covered in a few layers of paper maché to give it a bit better shape and get rid of the holes between the wire fencing bits; then I made the head out of paper maché pulp (that was really hard to shape) , and used the leftover paper maché pulp to model the neck and shoulders, and bond the head to them. It was then painted (not all the body, only the bits you see)
The clothes were half-cheating, but I'm not a tailor. i bought an old kimono and dyed it black; and bought a fancy dress black jedi robe off of ebay; the gloves are cheap biker gloves; but the belt and long bits around the gloves were home-made.
