Description
Hey there, here's a concept for an imaginary flying car, an aptly named Rolls Royce (literally) Flying Phantom.
It's a mix of past, present and future - most of it is actually based on the 36-39 Phantom III drophead coupe; though the front headlights are based on the 80's-90's era Rolls-Royce and Bentleys (best example being the Bentley turbo R)
The scan made the colours come out iffy... it's supposed to be charcoal/gunmetal/black type colour body, with chrome grill, light surroundings, window trims (outlines) etc, which was done in silver pen on the original drawing.
The four wheels are replaced by huge fan-type-things and instead of a rear wheel on the back, there's the main jet engine that powers the car. of course I realise that this imaginary concept is completely unrealistic, as not only would the jet engine take the space of the entire seating area of the car's interior, but the heat would kill any occupants, but hey - I drew this for the design, which personally, I really liked.
Coming soon (but not necessarily next) - a similar, but different sort of idea based on a Porsche

If a boeing can fly weighing 85 tonnes, I'm sure a 1-2 ton car could with a powerful enough engine. Forumula one cars need the front spoiler to avoid the whole front end lifting off, so it's not that far from impossible.
Just use your imagination, it's an fictional idea, not a reality. If you don't like scif-i, don't look at sci-fi art.

I don't like BMW Phantoms, but I have no control over what #AUTOMOTIVEinDESIGN sends to my folder.
Then again, it is a satisfying thought to imagine a flying BMW Phantom being shot down by a F-4 Phantom II. Guns or missiles, it doesn't matter as long as it makes a nice, big fireball.

You know, it's 90% based on a 1939 rolls, the remaining 10% inspired by 80s-90s models, when they were owned by the british company Vickers. Not sure where the BMW bit comes in...
